I was interested in an Audi S4 that they had available. It was white with carbon mirrors and a carbon spoiler and had a red interior with carbon trim. Upon viewing the pictures of the car on websites such as Autolist and Cars.com, everything on the car seemed like it was in good condition. So I decided to head over to Haus of Imports to take a look at the car and test drive it. When I arrived on a Saturday at the place, I was initially greeted well. That is until I talked to one of their employees and asked to test drive the car. I was told that test driving would have to be scheduled and I had to be "committed" buying the car to be allowed the chance at test driving it. Meanwhile the guy's face had a smirk as he was telling me this. We shook hands and I walked out. As I was heading to my car, another man approached me and asked me what had happened. I explained to him the situation. He directed me towards another person who then took me back into the office and introduced me to a man named "Rick". Rick didn't make a great first impression either. When it came to discussing the price of the car, he was very adamant on the price of that car. First off, listed price was $25,300 as of the time of making this review. He proceeded to tell me the out-the-door price would be $29,099.70 and that there would be no room for negotiation. I would mention this price a few more times when discussing the condition of the car and he would tell me the same thing. Now comes the test drive and condition of the car. The photos that were taken of the car and used for the online listings were all photoshopped or enhanced to make the car appear clean and free of any noticeable damages. When I took a look at the car in person, I noticed a lot of things wrong with the car. The front bumper was unaligned due to a "minor" accident which was a rear end collision. All the wheels had substantial damage to them. The Carbon Spoiler was cracked throughout. There was damage to the paint such as deep scratches throughout numerous parts of the exterior. That's just what I was able to notice so there could have been more that I missed. When it came to the interior of the car, the first thing I noticed was the wear and tear to the red leather seats. Lots of scratches and scrapes as well as gunk that had built up on the rear seats. There was damage to the carbon fiber trim throughout such as scratches and scrapes. The left paddle shifter was damaged and there was also damage to the rear driver side door panel. There was also white specks all over the interior of the car. It looked like paint had splattered all over. When I test drove the car, everything seemed fine until I noticed the "check engine" light turned on as I was driving. There was also some weird noises that came from the exterior of the car when I would make light turns around the area. I asked if there were any mods done to the car, seeing as it had 3 previous owners and almost 70,000 miles on the odometer. Rick told me that he wouldn't know any of that and made it seem like it wasn't his job to know about the car's previous history or something as simple as mods being added to the car. After the test drive had concluded, we headed back inside and he printed out a copy of the out-the-door price and sent me on my way. Safe to say I will not be purchasing this car from them. I wouldn't recommend doing business with these guys. They seem shady and very egotistical. Almost like they take pride in not doing their job 100%. By far the worst experience I've had when trying...
Read moreHad an experience recently where me and a family member were shopping for one of their used vehicles, specifically a 2018 civic that they had in the lot. All was well for the first little bit we checked out the car and it looked perfect. After test driving the car immediately we had noticed the air conditioning on the drivers side was just not working at all (blowing super hot air). We had brought this up with the salesman rick that we were working with and he said he’d take a look at it. He and his mechanic took a look at it and it seemed they had just filled the system with freon, which is typically unusual for a newer car to be filled. After which the air conditioning on the drivers side started blowing slightly cooler air, still not comparable to the passenger side. The salesman said all was good and we went inside to talk numbers and warranty and other things of the sort. After getting into his office and talking I had asked him about the air conditioning and if it would be a reoccurring issue in which his response was “I don’t know and that’s not something that would be covered under our warranty” which was mildly concerning cause I expected to buy a fully working car without any possible issues. Me and my family member discussed the whole situation and decided to keep talking to the salesman. The next conversation was about their warranty and additional fees, they charge two separate fees, $1200 for 5 years of paintless dent removal and some other additional services. The other fee is a $699 keywise charge in case the vehicle only comes with one key it allows for the making/covering of the charge for an additional key. The salesman rick made it seem like both of those fees are required to purchase a vehicle from them, after 10+ minutes of going back and forth he finally said he would ask his manager if he could remove those charges. He left came back and said the manager would only allow the $699 charge to be dropped and the other larger fee was required. When this information was presented my family member and I decided we were going to leave before another salesman had to intervene and explain that those were not mandatory fees that had to be paid, which left a really bad gut feeling about them. Overall it seemed like they were trying to lie to us to get us to pay insane fees which are not required, even on their website it specifically states that these are not required in order to purchase a vehicle from them, but in person they were acting like they would not sell the vehicle without charging for that. We finished our conversation with them and ended up leaving still considering the car after the other salesman had to “save the sale”. Rick had called the morning I stated we’d possibly show back up asking if i was still interested, and after telling him how i felt and what issues were causing us not to, he got super upset over the phone would not respond to what i was saying then decided to hang up without a word. The whole experience working with this location and team has felt overall untrustworthy and made me uneasy the entire time i was talking to them, it only seemed like they were trying to take...
Read moreCouldn't post without a star but if there was an option to give negative stars, I would have. I purchased a car from this place this month (June). The photos of the car pictured on their website were beautiful. The exterior and interior looked to be in great condition. Before purchasing, I asked all questions I knew to ask. Any scratches, dents or dings? Paint in good shape? Even though I knew from the ad on their page that said "damage reported". I was told the car was in great shape to be a 2012 model. I purchased the car and had it shipped to me in NC. It was driven out of the trailer and the driver literally blew the dirt and dust off the car with a leaf blower. Upon further inspection of the car, I noticed hundreds of paint chips on the front bumper, the back bumper was broken and paint was coming off, the taillight was broken along with the passenger side mirror. The lug nuts were completely rusted on all wheels. Tar on lower half of the car. The interior was just as bad as the outside. The fabric door panels were covered in dirt, the carpet (front and back) had dirt and trash in it. There was a huge piece of melted chocolate candy stuck between the drivers seat and console that had gotten into the carpet and there was a hole in the carpet on the drivers side. I took the car to a body shop for an estimate per a salesman's request. I actually took it to 3 shops and I sent them the cheapest. Damage totaling $3, 773.00. I tried for 4 days to get in touch with the general manager. Left messages and called numerous times each day. He did return my call and left a voicemail and I was able to finally speak with him on the 4th day. He had been given the information that I had given to 2 of his salesmen. He told me he could not assist with the damage but after speaking with him more, he agreed to send me $500 to help with getting the car professionally cleaned. Today is June 24. I spoke with him June 9th and have yet to receive a check in the mail. If you're smart, you won't purchase a car here. I paid $16,000 for the car I got. That may not be alot of money to them but it is to me. Now, I have to either try to sell it as is OR attempt to repair it out of my pocket. Buying a car at this dealership was the worst mistake I've ever made. I was lied to from the start. I'm glad I had sense enough to take screenshots of the dealer photos before the entire ad was removed even from their "list of cars sold" on their website. Just an ignorant hillbilly from NC. I...
