Edit: I completely understand and can be empathetic to this situation, however your post was 8/15 on Facebook being closed for vacation and I’ve been reaching out since 8/10. I also immediately responded to your message reply this morning to tell me you received my review and to rectify the situation, I responded immediately and it’s back to ghost town. I hope you and your family are able to take comfort in the memories and love you shared for your family member, and wish you the best in your future with your business. Unfortunately I do stand by my review.

I wish I could say I had a great experience like everyone else, but I’m confused to how they were even able to have an experience with the complete lack of communication by Celeste. There is NO information on her Facebook site, the site that comes up as her page as to how to book. My first try was Thursday 8/10 with an email, but I followed up the next day, Friday 8/11, but they were already closed so I left a voicemail. I called again Saturday morning and finally got in touch with Celeste. I explained I sent an email, but hadn’t heard back - she only saw it when I called and reviewed it. We briefly discussed further what I was needing and she told me best way is to contact via Facebook or come in, so I told her I would send a FB message with all info and I could pay deposit as soon as she told me direct pricing. I sent the message once we ended our call with all information. It is now 8/15, and the message hasn’t even been viewed. I even called AGAIN this morning around 11am (2 hours after opening and she’s open until 5pm) to get in touch with her to find out how I can get us to complete this order. I haven’t had one response back at all. It’s extremely frustrating because as a small business myself, I can’t imagine blowing off a client who clearly is wanting to pay me for my creation. Worst cake experience ever!!! From ordering to picking up to eating literally everything was awful!!! The customer service was the worst, apparently she just makes cakes however she wants regardless of what you order. The cake looked pretty which is the only positive thing I can say about it. However, it was decorated with with a small bouquet of flowers which we never asked for and was never told it would be included and the flowers weren’t even edible so I can’t figure out for the life of me why they were on there when that’s not what we ordered. The cake itself was the driest I’ve ever had and it was very bland. Although the taste may have just been overpowered by the butter that apparently didn’t get creamed. We specifically requested to not have buttercream but that’s the only option they have and she assured us that it would not be hard the way other bakeries sell it. Omg it was hard as a rock and tasted literally like a mouth full of straight butter. The “mocha” filling that was supposed to be in between the layers of cake seemed like there was just coffee grinds mixed into the awful buttercream so it was like eating butter with sand in it. I wish I was exaggerating and I really hoped the taste would make up for pretty yet undesired appearance of the cake and the lack of customer service but I was so wrong. Cakes by celeste was recommended on FB and I honestly should have went with the lady that did my Mickey mouse goodies due to my cake looking how it did and not even being fondant cake as stated in the beggining while giving details on whats wanted also sent a photo. I was on my toes about my cake the whole time! Communication was not there and I understand the whole closed for Vaca but never leave your customers on read and be more communicative with them. If I am able to post the photo I will. Mickey had all cracks in it! The cake was whipped butter frosting instead of fondaunt Seems as if they closed the box on mickeys ear and it broke so they just put it back on. I legit had to press on the fondant mickey to put it in its place because it was falling off. . I was absolutely pissed about my son's first birthday cake. .
