The Salty Dog Beach House — Local services in Dauphin Island

We stayed at Salty Dog in October 2019. We loved sitting on the deck drinking our morning coffee and having our afternoon glasses of wine. The screened porch is great to sit and work quietly on your computer and still feel a breeze from the trees.

The house is well-stocked with all the kitchen and cooking utilities you would need. The bedrooms are nice and spacious. It is a family friendly house with twin beds in the kids room. Three bedrooms are upstairs and one downstairs. The Master bedroom upstairs and another have a deck outside their doors. So, a view of the Gulf and the neighboring golf course is nice when watching sunsets.

There are lots of toys for the kids to use at the beach. Even a little red wagon to pull them in behind the bicycles that are provided. It is nice to ride the bicycles on the trail through the golf course.

This is a great house to rent on Dauphin Island. Oh, if you like some quiet time to dig into a good book. Elizabeth has a a great selection to choose from in her baskets. She has really good taste in choosing books. The only problem is that you might not have time to finish it before you leave.

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation at a very reasonable price, The Salty Dog Beach House is the ideal choice. It is located in a private gated community which includes pool, tennis courts and beach which is quiet and lovely. It includes all the amenities and an owner dedicated to you having a great vacation.

The island is low key but has many things to make your vacation memorable. Great fresh seafood, an amazing bakery and restaurants if you choose to dine out. Mobile is an easy(45 minutes) drive with access to entertainment and touristy type things to do.

5 stars is honestly not enough for this place.... the location is excellent and all, but the attention to detail that the hosts give to the potential needs and even wants of the guests are amazing. It is like staying at a second home that has all that you need. I truly appreciate them opening their home and items to our family for use during our stay. My wife is a... "neat freak" and didn't have a single complaint about this place. Thank you for allowing my family to stay here for the week. Our expectations were absolutely exceeded and our vacation experience...
