I love my appointments at Wild Side. I have all of my services performed here. From the time I am greeted at the door until I leave, all of the technicians, stylists, or magicians (as i love to think of them) are kind, intuitive, skilled and professional. I feel like I am walking in to see my friends.
LASHES: Caroline does my lashes. She is phenomenal, very thoughtful and friendly. I lost my lashes due to chemo for a mild cancer. Caroline has been doing my lashes for 2 years. They are perfect and stay in place. Some days I am able to brush my lashes and walk out the door. I am in my 50's so I didn't want to look like I was trying to be 20 again and she placed them perfectly. Caroline has become a dear friend and positive light in my life.
HAIR: Kim takes my fine thin hair and gives it color and body, while protecting it from damage and breaking. She is definitely a magician. She is a fantastic listener. I have been with Kim for about 3 years and am never disappointed. Kim is amazing at taking my 1989 look and making it relevant.
INFUSIONS & WEIGHT LOSS: Chelsea is the real deal. She is a nurse and we immediately connected on my ongoing battle with fibromyalgia. She listened, we experimented and found the right combination of vitamins and pain relief to get me up and moving. Then we began to tackle my weight. I have never been an over eater, but the inactivity due to the fibromyalgia saw me at a weight that was absolutely daunting. Once we got the pain under control we began the weight loss injections. I have lost around 50 pounds in the last year. We move slowly and Chelsea is very diligent about making sure of dosage and how I am feeling. She gave me the encouragement to push through a bit of pain and I am now able to walk my dog for 2 miles. I just need the icy weather to stop. However, the drive is there each week when I see her to constantly be at my best. Fibromyalgia is frustrating and unkind, I hated talking about it, it seemed like I had no hope of being fit again. But now here I am in my mid 50's walking my dog and being much more active. I am beyond grateful that she took the time to listen and offer suggestions that would lead me to a place I never thought I...
Read moreCame here to get a shellac manicure and pedicure, my nail techs shellac light wasn't working right and kept blinking on and off because the cord was faulty. I was sent home with a wet glob of shellac on my toes and the polish on my nails wasn't even brought all the way to the edges. Less than a week after my manicure, the shellac was already all the way off and my pedicure was chipped. I contacted the salon about this and the owner said she would give me a refund for the shellac portion of my visit (thinking this meant the manicure and pedicure, not the brow wax I got too) I agreed to that. I get a check in the mail for LESS THAN HALF of what I spent on the mani/pedi. After contacting the salon owner, she said she was only refunding me for the manicure and the extra cost added to a pedicure to get shellac. I told her I felt like I was overcharged for my visit in general because I paid for this with a gift certificate that my fiancé got me for Christmas. (He got it for a manicure, a pedicure, and a brow wax) and I was still charged $20 more out of pocket. The owner said that this is because my fiancé probably asked for "shellac toes" when getting the gift certificate and not a pedicure. My fiancé doesn't even know what Shellac is, therefore I know he would never say that. So because her employee had faulty equipment, I got a crappy manicure and pedicure and the owner isn't willing to make it right. I would definitely never recommend this to anyone unless they are already established with a nail tech...
Read moreThis was my first and last experience at Wild Side Spa. The stylist was very messy and got a lot of dye on my face. When I asked her to get it off she replied sheâd get it off at the end. At this point it had dried and was very hard to get it off. I part my hair to the side and she proceeded to cut it down the middle even though I said I donât style it that way. I have naturally curly hair that I take very good care of. She asked how I wanted it styled and I asked if she could do a blow out. She used a flatiron and my hair came out so dry. Left the salon with dry frizzy hair that was a poor excuse for a âblow outâ as well as dye on my face and dress. Ruined a dress I only wore a handful of times. Called to express my concerns to the manager and the rude receptionist told me she did not notice dye on my face when I left and to just try to wash it off. This was an extremely disappointing experience for me. Will not...
