Cottage Inn Pizza & Pub Review

Pros:

Clean Tall mug of beer was huge! Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance was comfortable. Decor was tasteful and appropriate. Margaritas were very well made, nice and strong! Features occasional live performers. Everything sticks were very good Breadsticks were spot on, not too buttery and salty not too bland.

Neutral:

Chicken wings were done perfectly but I did specifically ask for them well done(burnt). Prices were a little high but inflation is everywhere so it is to be expected.

Cons:

Google maps had issues directing me to the location. Parking lot is not ideal. No napkin dispensers on tables.

Overall:

If there is one thing I could say to whomever owns and runs this location it is, “Do not change anything!” You’ve got a winning combination with your staff and menu. Your waitstaff is friendly and professional, going about their tasks with motivation and a smile. Your kitchen staff pushes food out that tastes like it has years of experience. Keep as many of these fantastic people as you can.

We called ahead to make sure you weren’t too busy and made a reservation just in case. The waitstaff had us seated and our drinks within moments of us arriving at the vestibule. Our special orders went through without issue and all our food came out at the same time.

The food hit the spot and then some. Happy and full were the words around the table. Whatever dough recipe you are using for your breadsticks and pizza is perfect. One slice felt like two or three without leaving us bloated. The chicken wings were done perfect. I usually order my wings extremely well done, to the point of being burnt, because a lot of kitchens will push them out before they are properly cooked. These were exactly where they needed to be.

Overall I cannot express enough how the combination of excellent staff and fantastic food made our experience top notch. We left with smiles on our faces and a comfortable feeling in our bellies. Very disappointing, especially for the $. We wanted to celebrate, so we ordered two extra-large pizzas from what I had heard was a much better pizza place. The orders were complicated for one of those pizzas, but the fellow who took my order repeated it back to me three times just to make sure he got it right. Unfortunately when we got the pizza there was no meat (chicken) on it! I called them immediately, and they asked if I wanted a credit or a remake. I requested a remake. The second pizza that I got didn't have the crust or drizzle I requested, and the quantity of the overall ingredients were significantly less than the first pizza. It was almost all crust, and even though it had the meat on it, it was very skimpy, like 2-3 pieces per slice. So, in two attempts to make the pizza I ordered, they couldn't get it right once. Needless to say, I was very disappointed to have spent almost $50 and not get what I wanted. I don't think I'll ever go there again.

Addendum: I received a message from the owner asking me to call or text with more information about my order. I did, clarifying my experience at length. I didn't get a response or feedback. Total silence. I guess it starts at the top which actually says it all about this business and those who run it. I'd recommend going somewhere else to first of all get your money's worth, and secondly to better support a better quality and more worthy small business in the area. I...

My food was 40 plus minutes late. Pizza was barely able to be considered warm. No notification like there usually is when they are behind. When I called the store I was told I should expect these kinds of things because its a holiday. Being a holiday doesn't excuse my food being 40 min late when I live less than 5 minutes away from the location. I have a sick child at home and could not go pick it up myself. This is not the first issue I have had with this location. The female store manager is also a liar and rude as hell! She told me I was lying about my food. I ordered a jalapeño popper bread like I do many times a month. Usually there are peppers under the cheese on top. This time there was literally 1 jalapeño on the entire thing. She told me that I won't see the peppers because they are under the cheese. I told her I had removed all the cheese amd was looking in the cream cheese underneath and there was zero sign of any jalapeño peppers anywhere. This lady told me I was lying and I didn't understand how they make the bread. I asked multiple employees if my bread was right and all told me no, it was not correct. This location needs to get their stuff straight and stop telling good paying customers...
