I spent years avoiding this place because I heard so many stories about how it was nothing but a filthy, chaotic rampage for broken garbage. The first time I finally got up the courage to visit, I was shocked at how clean the store was, how organized the bin system was, and how polite most people were. I've been to worse estate sales for sure. And it's not "picked over" trash that no one at the regular stores wanted. Most of the stuff that ends up in the bins was never tagged for sale in the first place so you can snag some great stuff. And yes, there are obvious flippers but they're taking stuff that would otherwise be going to the dump, which I appreciate. The majority of them are very methodical so it's easy enough to work around them. They're not snatching things out of people's hands. They're not stealing things out of people's carts. And they can't be everywhere at once so they're not taking every single "good" thing and leaving others with nothing. Accept them as part of the experience and you'll have a much better time. I'm not a reseller at all but I've visited many times now and I've never left without at least one treasure. If you want to give it a try, here is my advice: First, manage your expectations because the bins are the bins and there are good days and bad days. Assume you'll be getting dirty. Always wear gloves (plain cotton ones will do). Always grab a cart. Plan your route and stick to it; dont let FOMO run you ragged. Learn the rules by watching the regulars. If something is interesting to you, just put it in your cart - you can always throw it back later. Don't get distracted by looking at what's over there and forget to look at what's right in front of you. Be respectful to the people around you. Rude people are few and far between on weekdays and aren't tolerated by the regulars. Weekends get a bit more rowdy so plan accordingly. There's nothing quite like a Goodwill Outlet and we're very lucky to have one of the nicer ones here!

trans folk! šŸ³ļøā€āš§ļøšŸ³ļøā€āš§ļøšŸ³ļøā€āš§ļøthis is a great place for all of u! if you are trying a new style but still in the closet or just nervous to buy different clothes this is such a cool place to do so. i personally get nervous to shop at traditional stores in person because of people staring or judging so this was actually so euphoric to be able to shop and not worry about any of that. at checkout they don’t have to look through your stuff since its paid for by the pound so you can pretty much pick out whatever u want without worrying about people looking through it. i left with 3 huge bags of new things to try to style (over 20 lbs) and it was only like $40. definitely bring gloves or hand sanitizer because everything is just a free for all and all the items are unmarked and unorganized in a bunch of bins. another plus is this is just so eco-friendly as all of this clothes would be going into a landfill anyways.

You can find good things here (my entire NERF collection came from here, for a total of maybe $30, encompassing roughly 20 blasters, extra mags for all, and several varieties of attachments, plus many a great cook book) but some of the folk here are the rudest, scummiest example of vile shitebags who will hurl items onto your hands or in your face without a second thought.

While shopping you must guard your cart at all times.covering it w a blanket or something is also a must.ypu must keep small children in your direct eye sight.adult men will push them w their body to take their spot.they will take things that the child aims to grab.causing many altercations and several fights o er this alone.very ignorant and cowardly.the worse part is if reported nothing is done no one cares.if you defend those who cannot you are a suspect arrest for profit.so be careful to avoid these altercations.a broken system leads a broken life.sometimes people will replace items in your cart worth value that took hours to get for junk to prevent your noticing before they leave.while checking out ypur must watch every move the cashiers make.know every item you have.and use the price sheet to guess your price.items of value will be scanned weighed or priced and they use timing going slow talking distracting then when ready scan or price items of value on your bill but with a tricky slide of hand under the register your item goes.you pay for it they keep it and give it to a shopper boyfriend in the store.so far its only been a small group of women working togther with people they have in the store shopping all day.sometimes they double charge items when not looking they put it down pick it up and do it again.you also must count the change as well.skimping your change over charging your total and collecting value or name brand items can turn your discount shopping into full new cost price shopping.in 6months time ive caught this at minimum 8 to 10 times.i usually mind my bussines.everyone finds their hustle some how.but because poor people who ride the bus there, barely getting by,elderly people, these are people trying to survive make ends meet.at jc penny or Macy's i would mind my bussiness they either dont care or have so much no need fir counting change.this is not the case.my issue is knowing people who can barely take care of themself and family are being took advantage of.alot.alot of cash being swiped.i lose sleep sometimes thinking about i know and havent tried to help.the greed is so much even after soany times of confrontations just a few days back a woman with lots of face paint was flirty friendly and my purchase was only a handful of items 2 pants, total of 6$ ish.i was shorted 7$ change.i even gave eye contact and left my habd out noticing it could not be right.she quickly changed facial expression to mean and ignored me still standing at register.she begins talking to next customer while pricing quickly and placing items on top of my purchasd in efforts ti distract and pressure.my level is much higher than hers with conciousness so i calmly collect my few items park my 6yr son to the side and go back to confront.she quickly explains my 5$ and 4 1$ bills are 15$ change.then states i am correct it is wrong i was over paid by 2$ taking 2 one dollar bills back.my patients was short as ive spent hours at a time looking for little boy clothes the 2 times i found pants i paid for them on recipt but they was not in my bag when got to van.time is the most valuable thing a person can lose.so i calmly ask her again that this is 15$.at this point she assures me that my 5$ and 2 ones are now 15$ minus the 2$ maling it correct.i ask her a second time can she count that fifthteen out ignoring me she talks quickly trying to avoid the question, frustrated i say this is 15$ right there.she again says yes probaly judging by the look in my eyes knowing i am going to ask for a manager to count it she speaks up stating she sometimes mistakes a 5$ bill for a 1$ bill shaky and scared she quickly gives me my money correctly and over paid a 1$ and change just wanting me to go away there was a crowd.greed.and ignorance.there has been a few extreme times where i was charged 96$ for a 30$ cart full of tiny plastic junk toys, what nots, nothing heavy no value all for kids a few dvds a junk pair of shoes for work a tote to carry it in.96$her boyfriend had 4 carts full sitting in line at front door.be...

I have been shopping at the GW outlet for years. The staff is 4 to 5 stars, kind and considerate if you are! The management not so much! I recently had an incident: 2 items disappeared from my covered cart: 1 sign (Beware of the dogs) and one fabric bag with a wallet in it (my cash shopping money that I usually keep in this bag with a pair of gloves ready to go). I was in the store for about 2 hrs and moved my covered cart once from one side to the other side of the store once. When I was done and ready to leave, and as many other customers do, I sorted my stuff before going to the cashier area. I realized first that one of the sign I picked up (Beware of the dogs) was gone, and then I saw that the bag with the wallet in it (and about $70-80) was gone too. Okay, I heard it, not very smart to leave money unattended in your cart! But I usually don’t carry cash and I keep cash money for my GW shopping trip (treasure hunting time) in this bag. And I was tired and just not thinking. Anyway, when I found out that these 2 things were gone from my cart, I started to look around in case! I then concluded it was gone period! I put back in a blue bin most of the items I selected and went to the cashier (I had a credit card and ID on me). I explained what I suspected did happen. The cashier told me that stealing has been especially on the raise lately and gave me a piece of paper to write down a few facts and my contact number. My second mistake: I wrote down too many details. The next morning I received a call from a manager saying that after reviewing the camera, I was the one who left my bag on the bin and then moved away. No one apparently took anything in my covered cart. So what about the « beware of the dog signĀ Ā»(?). No response on this. Of course, I was not invited to watch the camera neither. So for the store reputation it’s so much better, and they didn’t lose anything neither. No police report made, everything is good! It seems that some phone App metal detector are available! And strangely in this bag, I had my wallet and metal items! The management of the store should think about customer protection and with a little extra cost a couple of merchants security agents would make some people think twice, and the majority of others feel...
