Purchased Three of the Cuddeback game cameras. The first one lasted about 6 months before I started having problems with it. I went on the website to troubleshoot and went through the ridiculously troublesome process of updating the camera which made it work again for a short period of time. The next year I purchased the newer version of the camera which worked great again for about six months. While the second camera was still working I sent the first one in on a fix with new program where you purchase the newer model for half off. It seemed like a good deal at the time until I started having problems with the second camera which is the same camera that I purchased at the discounted rate. I sent my first camera in to get replaced with my safety box and am still waiting for them to get to me. Meanwhile the flash on my newer second camera is not working so I had to get a service RMA and send that one back to Cuddeback. Then I call two weeks later to ask where the fix with new replacement camera is and they tell me that they didn't send it out because they were waiting to get the safety boxes in for that camera. I asked how long that would take and the lady said, well we aren't going to get any in because we have discontinued the camera, the same camera that I just bought a new one of and ordered a fix with new replacement for. I don't know if you caught that she told me they were waiting to send my replacement because they were waiting to get the safety boxes in that they were not getting anymore of because they were discontinued. That makes no sense!. Then today I call in to ask where my camera is because they said they would send it to me and send me a reconditioned safety box when they get one in and the lady tells me that she would have someone call me back because there is no one there that can tell me if my camera has been sent to me yet. I am still waiting for a call back after 2 hours. Oh and I forgot, I put a service question inquiry on the website for them to call me two weeks ago and I still have not heard from them. Read moreI purchased a black flash E-3 model which has worked fairly well for the short time I have had it. Recently I found that water/ice penetrated the battery seal. In addition the camera had zero photos on that SD card. I am familiar with Cuddeback trail cameras as this is the third one I have owned. Customer service told me my camera is out of warranty and that it is not in production any more. My options from Cuddeback were repair the camera and I pay for repair and shipping or Cuddeback offers a 30% discount on a like model. My complaint is that the customer service rep acknowledged on the phone the camera has little use and her offer through Cuddeback even with their discount would cost me more than I had paid for the camera originally by a fairly large sum. In addition, I have to pay for shipping and could not purchase through a local vendor to prevent having to pay for shipping. In summary will be reviewing like competitors cameras prior to purchasing a replacement. The Customer service representative was polite but in reality the warranty / coverage for their product failing is really poor. I don't foresee myself purchasing again in the future now knowing that if I have a problem I'll more than likely be having to pay in full out of pocket and their warranty covers pretty much...
Read moreCuddeback has become a joke in the trail camera business. I did a firmware update that basically made two of the cameras in my cuddelink network, obsolete. After contacting Cuddeback, they agreed to exchange the cameras to the newer option at a discounted price. I agreed and immediately sent the obsolete cameras back. I was told that once the old cams are received, my new cams would be sent out on the same day. I never received a notification that the new cams shipped so I contacted customer service to which I was told they would ship out early the following week. I waited until after that time and contact Cuddeback again touch I was told, they would try to get them out by the end of the week. It’s a simple exchange. The customer service person that I dealt with had zero care about how the customer feels which was to probably be expected after I explained to her this is probably the reason why Cuddeback has become a non-player in the trail camera business and their market share will just continue to shrink because of interactions like this. They refused to give me any contact in for for upper management but if I were CEO, I would want to know how poor their service really is and what the end user is experiencing.
