I think this is a hidden gem of a course, and what makes it great is it’s very cheap. I have golfed 18 here for $15 which is an absolute steal! I have probably golfed here a dozen or more times just this year. This course is truly fun, and challenging. It does have its flaws though, as it is pretty rough around the edges - literally. Good luck finding your balls if you’re more than a foot off of the fairway or rough. Also, look out for poison oak and oak mites! I played here about a week ago, and I’m currently itchy from head to toe, from looking for my ball. I have nicknamed this place “poison oak country”. All in all, I will probably come back here after my skin heals, but there are definitely better courses around to play. I golf on a budget, so this place is great for me, and it’s always a good time. Staff is friendly, and the loose environment is fun for me - some courses really blow when a Marshall is up your tail all game. Not here, you pretty much have to talk with the other groups around you if you have a problem. I wanted to give this course a 4, but definitely can’t with all the poison oak, and rough playing conditions. Greens are...
Read moreWell priced for 18 holes, but no option for 9 holes so if you want to play 9 it's about the same price as many nicer courses. The course is very rudimentary with mostly just backyard type grass for fairways. Very narrow lanes and many obstacles will force all but the most skilled players to lose many balls. The most concerning part was the arrangement of tee boxes where some nearly faced each other and one could easily hook a drive into another tee box. There were also some holes that forced you to backtrack on the cart paths and drive directly towards players teeing off. We had one instance where we were driving to the next hole and a player teed off with a driver less than 20 yards from us and facing just to our right, he claimed after that he didn't see us. Some netting could go a long ways to improving safety and general comfort...
Read moreCourse design is good and i enjoyed playing the design, which is why it isnt getting 1 star from me. If i hadnt been paying attention i would have put my face in spider webs getting my cart, and i had to walk past about 6 others that were covered in webs as well. Several of the greens were nearly unplayable and had more sand(or tarps) on them than grass. You can tell the course doesnt get watered like it should, as the ground was hard as a rock and cracked from lack of water. We were around 40 yards away from a green ready to hit our 2nd shots and the grounds crew guy started to mow the green as if we werent there. Most of the holes dont have a ball cleaner. The lady in the club house was really nice though. I wont be back though, id rather spend a little more money and go to a course that is in much...
