I live 5 blocks from here. I went shopping here when I didn't feel like travelling far and after work sometimes to get food. One of my favorite parts was the deli. I used to buy the cheese pies and 6 piece whole wings all the time and sometimes I would buy more if family was over .One day they cooked the chicken so terribly and we could tell it was old so I stopped going there as much and didn't buy anything from the deli for a while. Recently I started back working and it's hard to make my own meals sometimes. So I went to buy some chicken and the first two days I went there the chicken was fine. The third day I went there and bought a few extra pieces because I knew my mother would probably want some as well. As we're eating our first piece we noticed a funny taste and we end up not eating anymore. The chicken was spoiled!!! I went up there to confront them, recorded just in case anything went left because I was really angry and was ready for them to be confrontational and lie about it. If it was just myself eating the chicken, I wouldn't have been half as mad and I'm surprised I even managed to keep as calm as I did. The cashier/cook claims it was not done purposely, but spoiled chicken smells!! And it smells bad! How could they not know the chicken was spoiled and they do this for a living? The reviews that advocate for this store are mainly by their people. I am African American and I firmly believe this was done purposely because of that. They recklessly handled my food and could have caused harm to me and my family and didn't even offer a refund after that. I'm thinking about calling in a health inspector and the BBB because they're definitely breaking the law in several ways at this store. Not sorry for the lengthy review because people, especially my people, need to know that this is not a good place to spend your hard...

Went there today just to get the usual groceries, and I decided to stop and get some pizza(manesh.) Asked specifically for just a olive-cheese large pizza over and over, and I was seriously disappointed when I received a pizza that had mushrooms, green peppers, and barley any olives. I went to inform the lady at the cash register about this and she simply responded by saying "well, can't you just take it off?" See, the problem here is, I had a simple order and they managed to mess it up. Except, this isn't the first time they've (the bakers) done this to my order. The exact same thing happened yesterday (October 21st) when my mother had gone there. She had ordered just a simple large olive pizza, yet our pizza had green peppers instead. That's not all though, one of the female bakers, a middle aged lady with scarf and a permant scowl on her face, had the guts to be mad at us when we asked her politely to only add on black olives. Another worker also reminded the lady to exclude any other ingredients, yet she seemed to have ignored us and put the peppers and mushrooms on anyways. We not only wasted our time waiting for the pizza to be done, but we wasted our money as well seeing as no one ate the pizza because it wasn't good.

The point is, not only do they not care about what the customer wants, but they'll also talk about you in another language too.

I'm only giving this place a 1 star rating because, it doesn't go any...

Purchased 3 pounds of coffee for $9.99 each on Friday. On Sunday and within 48 hours the price changed to $6.99 each. I went back to the store and asked for a price adjustment. They told me they can not do that, the system does not allow it. I suggested buying the same products at the discounted price and return them using the original receipt with the higher prices. The manager agreed, but when I went to get the credit, he said the system will give me only the sale amount. I was very confused, then he said come back after the sale end and we can process the return. After buying the other 3 pounds and now stuck with 6 pounds. I went back today, they told me we can not return it now because we only do returns within 48 hours. They really gave me the runaround. For only $9.00 adjustment credit, they have lost a loyal regular customer and will not do business with them anymore. I can not believe this kind of business practice is allowed in the Great State...
