Dollar General — Local services in Decatur

In the past month I have noticed a HUGE difference in the stores appearance/cleanliness. It used to be extremely cluttered with boxes and carts everywhere, however they have seemed to work through it in the past month. Sondra, the manager, is always pleasant and attentive though seems like she needs a vacation lol (she looks stressed a lot, poor thing). Dave (a new employee in the store) is always very helpful/pleasant and moves very quickly between tasks ( like the other day I saw him stocking shelves and a Male customer went to the counter, I swear I think Dave has a rocket in his body because in like 2 seconds he was up there at the register all smiles and professional. Yall should keep him lol). You will see a couple of ladies who work there who seem unmotivated and move very slowly and aren't always very pleasant with their job or customers, buy I usually just ignore their unpleasantness. Ask me to do your survey one more time at check out and I will rate it one star its a dollar general no one shopping there is walking in expecting organized shelfs and quality products as long as there's deodorant toothpaste and tobacco no one cares hell the cashier could not wear pants and no one would notice its dollar general but it would be great to not have to wait 20min in line because the emplooyees are out smoking or sitting in the office or no where to be found and worst of all when there's 2 and one is just standing there by register flopping their jaws while the line grows .never open constantly closed for some changes that never manifest to benefit anyone just close the place down and turn it in to something beneficial...

The manager is very nice, helpful & over worked. Ppl are blaming the isles & store being cluttered on how it's being managed but the real problem is, the ppl being hired don't stay. They spend time training them on computer & at register ect. The ppl then end up quitting as soon as they're trained, then they have to start all over. It would be exhausting...
