The Rc Shack Hobby Shop — Local services in Decatur

A small but friendly shop in the middle of nowhere (Decatur). Seriously, a great little shop and Justine was so fabulous for helping out. I walked in 30 minutes before they closed with a broken part on my ARRMA Fireteam 6s. They dont much in the way of ARRMA but they did have plenty of other parts that would do the job. In just about 30 minutes Justine was able to help us find most of the parts (compatible ones) and we were back up and running and out in the field. Top notch service for sure! A few suggestions though. Get some standard screws and borrow/rental tools in metric sizes. All the RC cars are metric and having those on-hand means you can service the cars your selling much easier. Your store will also be more bad @$$ by having an outstanding service dept. Other shops ive seen and been to have small areas for people to come in and do minor repairs. With having a track there as well this would be a real bonus. (Sorry I left a dirty mess on the counter) Work with local hobbyists to have more repair options.

Overall the entire place was friendly, helpful and most importantly got the job done. Prices were fair and in some cases very reasonable. I will certainly be back here next time I visit Decatur!

I had recently used their online shop to order some parts, but made an error on my part. When I called, they were very helpful in correcting my order and were always calling me back with updates and trying to make sure my order went out before a major snowstorm hit! That is great customer service that I don't see much these days. Thank you! I would recommend this store for your future...
