After months of searching for a nice private cabin to celebrate our 15 year anniversary we finally came across Paluxy river bed cabins. After reading through reviews and looking at their website we decided to give it a shot. From questions, to booking, to checking in/out. Karen and John were wonderful and very kind hosts. We had a hard time picking the cabin we wanted to reserve as they all look wonderful. So for our first visit we went with the cedar house. The trip was so amazing that we didnāt want to leave and definitely will be back to try out the others and be booking again in our near future. The cedar cabin has access to the river if you like to fish like we do. Just be aware of the steep areas to get to the river. But was manageable and we caught a few fish! The hot tub was amazing water therapy for us lol we were able to manage the temperature for summer heat and it felt great. We also got to hear some thunder roll through with some rain while in the hot tub making it feel like a rain forest. We painted a rock to leave behind as they provide the paint and there are rocks all around to pick from. We signed the guest book left in there and left a cap from our bottle on their rack of past visitors who have left corks and caps behind as well. The view from the balcony connected to the room was amazing. We grilled some steaks our first night. But over all itās just a wonderful place for couples to go relax and reconnect my husband and I needed that trip. Very private but note you do have a neighbor in the cedar house which we could hear them some but they were never seen nor did we run into them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had a wonderful time at the Spring cabin. Paluxy River was a stone throw away and clear and clean. We saw quite a few ducks and no people but the lovely owners during check in and out! The cabin was super clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there, besides personal items such as shampoo, body wash, ect. Which was no issue at all since we like to use our own soaps. The hot tub was super clean and had obviously fresh water. Glen Rose is such a wonderful little town, but no need to even visit the town when at this cabin. There is a grill and propane is provided, as well as a fire pit with wood provided. The fire pit is shared but we didn't see anyone when we were there star gazing! This cabin is a must if you are looking for serenity and a place to completely unplug. Paints and brushes are provided to decorate a rock to leave on the cabin porch. It was sweet reading all the rocks of couples past that have graced this cabin with love and memories. Such a special place! We are "cabin hoppers" of sorts, so we like to go to different cabins everywhere to explore. This is a cabin we will definitely go back to when the weather is a tad warmer so we can take a dip in the river. Absolutely wonderful people own this place! You really couldn't...

Karen and John are the sweetest, most gracious hosts, they made us feel at home the second we arrived to check in. We stayed in the cliff house and it was perfect for us to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary. The cabin was immaculate when we walked in. With a quaint country feel, perfectly secluded. The hot tub on the oversized porch, overlooking the river was clean and very well maintained. There is paint provided to paint a rock and add it to the collection on the porch. It was a fun unexpected activity. We enjoyed reading all the rocks and all of the anniversaries, we even saw one that said 55 years. Our grill had been left on by the previous guest so the propane was low and John quickly changed it out for us. The water pressure in the shower was surprisingly strong for being a cabin. The bed was firm but in a very comfortable way. The linens were clean and fresh. The muffins and orange juice left in the fridge for breakfast were sweet touch. I could not recommend this place more.
Thank you...
