Read moreThis is the location who told me on October 24th that they will have a pot roast come out of the oven in 90 minutes. Tina takes my name and phone number and when I call back in 90 minutes the staff in the deli tell me they never put any pot roasts in the oven. I asked to speak to the manager for some clarification and I'm told from the manager that there isn't any pot roast available and they didn't put any in but then I get a phone call about 45 minutes later and I'm told there's a pot roast waiting for me there. I don't bother to call them back. This location is too far for me to make the mistake of heading up there and come to find again that the pot roast is missing. Lol. But today they were the only location that had pot roast available at 2:00 p.m. so before I make the long drive I asked if it is the kind of pot roast I've gotten used to from Francis Avenue where there are plenty of vegetables that include potatoes. Tina tells me it does have potatoes and vegetables and I reiterate is there enough for a couple of meals or is it really scant. She believes there was enough. So I make the long drive and there are two pot roasts left and they both have just two small potatoes cut in half and a few carrots. How would I know this location would continue to be so underwhelming that I thought to ask whether they outfit the pot roast with enough vegetables that would feed a couple people? And now after wasting a bunch of gas and time to get up here I see that I can never trust any statement delivered to me from these Deli employees. There's something more going on here than just a lack of...
Read moreIncredibly welcoming and friendly staff - probably the best I have seen anywhere and it's universally true and all the time. Their people seem to like going to work and I love the age range diversity of their staff, which adds something of a family feel to the shopping experience. The prices do seem high though, partly because it is now customary everywhere to pay significantly at the market, but partly out in this area it feels like we are all constantly making the decision to drive a long distance for competitive prices or just stay in the neighborhood, and save a little gas money that will be invariably shelled out on spendy groceries. It isn't necessarily a Rosauer's fault, but the truth is there isn't a lot out this way to keep prices competitive. Would love to see Rosauer's develop a loyalty program to honor those who simply spend their way instead of at the pump. But if you need a boost to your morning, you won't find a friendlier staff than the local...
