AFI Furnishings — Local services in Deerfield

We purchased what was described on Wayfair as a "Heavy Duty Wood Staircase Bunk Bed with Under Bed Trundle Bed", and Atlantic Furniture (AFI Furnishings) claims "We are here to help and provide exceptional service", but in our experience, both the description of the product and their customer service is far from truth.

So buyer beware! When we opened the boxes to assemble the bunk bed, we found one completely broken piece due to a wood defect, multiple cracks in various other pieces, and multiple white paint marks on an otherwise gray bed.

If you are hoping to simply open a box and assemble the furniture piece that you purchased, and do not want to deal with a return process, paying to return furniture, or poor customer service, stay away form this bed!

We had waited to open the boxes of furniture until getting a house possession. In that time, the Wayfair return period has expired so they just refered us to the manufacturer, and AFI furnishings (aka Atlantic Furniture) was only willing to sell us replacement pieces.

We were originally going to just replace the one broken piece, but seeing the poor quality of wood and how many cracked pieces would truly need to be replaced, we did not go forward on spending additional money on this already expensive, poor quality bed and risk other pieces breaking when it is assembled and kids using it. Purchase a bed from Home Depot who is connected with this merchant, didn't receive the footboard to the bed, My speaking with Home Depot I was not satisfied knowing that they cannot help me solve the problem and all they can do is write an email to this company letting them know the issue and expediting it as fast as they can, Home Depot was able to provide me with the phone number for Atlanta furnishing, when contacting the phone number given all it is is a message you can leave and on the message it states the fastest way for them to respond is through email only. No customer service response to a live person at all. Completely dissatisfied not just with this company but mostly with Home Depot for allowing companies such as these to be connected with such a huge corporation as Home Depot. Making it difficult and frustrating just to get something solved, I'm hosting a party and that is the reason why I ordered furniture which should have been delivered and set up before the party date but now is going to be delayed due to missing piece. I purchased this but don't recommended at all the bed was poorly designed and defective. Doesnt have the proper support and the frame snap. The description says the weight capacity it's 800lbs which it's a lie becase my daughter it's only 120lbs and the bed just broke when she was getting on it.

You can't call the manufacturer customer service and it's s been a nightmare communicating with them by email. They finally responded and said the warranty it's only for 1 year but they offer me the option to buy the part which the cost will be $150 which it's crazy thinking that we pay $500 for the bed and now have to pay such an expensive part which will still not warranty this won't happened again.

Now I have a broken bed, my daughter sleeping on the floor and have to buy a new bed. For sure it won't be from this manufacturer
