Let's see? I will go back to how we became involved with Becky and Christina. On April 30 of this year, my beautiful 26 year old daughter had a seizure and drowned in the bath tub. She actually hung on for ten more roller coaster days and nights. On may 10, 2012 my daughter went to live with God in Paradise. I keep telling myself that but it still hurts. The hospital took my daughters prints when she was still alive. My wife is a nurse at OSF St Anthony, while she was off work, the doctors and staff found a very reputable jeweler to meet all their needs in this sensitive time. They wanted to have my daughters print made into a necklace for my wife. When Ann returned to work, the staff presented her with this very special "Heartfelt"gift. I asked if someone could give me the name of the jeweler so I could inquire about a few more items. When I first called I talked to Christina, a very sweet girl and a wonderful asset for Becky. I won't get into all the details because what happens at Beckys, stays at Beckys. :) Because of all the wonderful, sensitive treatment we had with both Becky and Christina, we ordered 2 more necklaces for my other daughter and I and a beautiful ring for my son. I still need one more necklace and don't worry Christina, I did not forget about you. Maybe I can win the review and come in and buy Dad a ring with his daughters fingertip in it. Not sure how this sounds but please trust me everyone, I wish my little girl was here and I did not have to sit here writing this. Death of a child is a group that no one wants to join. Had my first experience with the store and could not be more pleased!! I had broken a gold chain that my cross was on. I LOVED it!! I thought for sure there was no fixing it and would have to replace it (wasn't cheap!). I called Suzanne, who was very helpful and informative and explained YES it can not only be fixed, but fixed to look like new!! I've thrown away so many chains over the years ~ not any more!! The necklace is a part of me, my cross never comes off!! So I was devastated. Took it in on a Tuesday morning and it was ready by afternoon! Bill did a BEAUTIFUL job fixing it, as well as the clasp and cleaning it. When I got it back, it looked brand new!! Can't even tell where the chain had broken! Unbelievable! AND I couldn't get over how reasonable their prices are!! Becky Beck's is my new jewelry store as far as I'm concerned, and I live just outside of Rockford!! My fingers are larger than they were when I got married, and ever since my last child was born, I haven't been able to wear my engagement ring and wedding band, so I took them to Becky Beck's to get sized based on the glowing reviews. They did a wonderful job, and I couldn't be happier with the work. I have driven by this tiny, unassuming shop dozens of times without really noticing it, and wanted to post my review so that other people won't make that same mistake--this is a great little shop and a lovely small business, and definitely worth stopping in!
