Excellent fun even for old timers 45+. my misses and I bought a valken AEG from jared and decided to play the following week. today was finally a cool day out so we rented the rest of the gear and BBs which CARLYLE was very a very helpful young man who got all all set up to play and had us watch a safety video. we also rented 2 GOPROs as well. they have birthday promo which my wife used. they also have discounts for : private security contractors, leo and military which was cool for me. it's super cheap for us and loads of fun. the fact that this is in NEW SMYRNA where I've retired and lived for a decade and I never knew about it until I found airsoft videos on YouTube is crazy.. everyone should go here and try airsoft or paintball they have both. I used to shoot at volusia county gun club and competed at ancient city shooting range in ST AUGUSTINE. i competed with real AR15s/glock 19 & 32 competitive USCA 2 gun and steel challenge which I won production class in 2013.
Surprisingly playing airsoft is way more fun IMHO and a heck of alot cheaper in ammo. so if your a 2nd ammendment supporter and ammo is too hard to find and too expensive to run&gun come try airsoft. they also have night games that I just learned there is an attachment that looks like suppressor but it's an LED light so you can watch your green BBs glow in dark at the target like a tracer round! I know I'm getting old when technology is this cool and I didnt know about it. NEW SMYRNA beach is a great little town and the people are extremely welcoming..the people at the airsoft place were so helpful and accommodating..I had a 12yr old explain to me how to turn on my GoPro..lol
oh and the shops has very affordable gear. my valken (ar15) style rifle was only $169 and 9.6V 2200mah NIMH battery was $25~. again you can just Rent everything for the day for cheap and have an amazing time
come out and support your local family owned businesses, especially after covid lockdown.
edit: we have been back now for a few weekends and it keeps getting more fun and we meet new friends everytime.
hope to see you there...
Read moreI'm a ref for Cabin Creek Paintball in Ohio. I was excited to play at XPLEX during our vacation to New Smyrna beach. Needless to say, all that excitement went out the window as soon as we checked in. Right off the bat, this place was one of the nastiest fields I've ever been to. It was pretty run down, trash everywhere...no cleanliness to the property at all. On a positive note, they do have tents and tables available, but you have to keep people from moving your gear...especially the resident field team. They do have fill stations available for use by YOU, they do not fill tanks. You have to do it. They also do not fill CO2 tanks, period. You have to rent an HPA tank. Also, their prices are outrageous for paint. I'm used to $45 a box or so....not here. A case runs you about $100. That's just ridiculous. Refs do not chronograph the guns either. The player is responsible for chronographing their own markers, which leaves a LOT OF ROOM for accidents. I got hit with six paintball's from someone ramping at wayyyyyy over 300 fps (the rating given to your paintball lenses). I walked away with BLEEDING KNOTS. I've taken my fair share of hits, but these were by far the most outrageous and worst hits I've ever experienced....and that was from across the field! Also, unlike most fields there are no restrictions on ramping or full auto. It takes a whole lot of fun out of the game when a 35 year old man with $1,000 gun is running full auto on a bunch of ten year olds with semi auto tippmanns. Overall, I was not the least bit impressed with this place and will not be returning. We brought 6 cases of paint with us, and bwtween the two of us didn't even get through 1 before we quit. It was that bad....I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to have just a...
Read moreWhen we first got to the place we we were new to we never done it before right before we’re about to start. I noticed that we didn’t have any protective gear. They gave us a helmet and air gun and I was looking around like where is the rest of the protective gear? I asked for one for me and my minor kids and the guy Ask told me that I didn’t need one and I was scared for me, and my kids eventually gave us one which was made me kinda happy. Then I noticed that they put me and my minor children versus a whole bunch of adults that were probably experience at paintball and we were new to this and my kids were fairly young so I feel like they set us up to get ambush pretty much because me and my kids Receipts a lot of paint while shots including my son getting shot in the back of a head it’s kind of dangerous. The referees were not honor were not enforcing the rules. The other team was cheating us the whole time and ruined the experience for me and my kids. Besides the fact that we got ambush and got shot a whole bunch of times from being in experience, I think if I would’ve went with my whole large group crew of my own family or people that were equally rookies, it’ll probably been a better experience but me and my underage kids going against adults getting shot a whole bunch of times while the other team wasn’t honoring the rules kind of ruined experience. I’d recommend if you want to do this to bring your own family and do it like that our friends and instead of going against people that you never met with your 13-year-old 13 and 14 year-old against adults my son has shot in the back of the head. He was in serious pain. It was it was kinda probably wouldn’t do this again. Feel like it was a...
