Nice paved trail along the C&D Canal. You can get from old New Castle to Chesapeake City. Bring bug spray, pretty good amount of mosquitoes and flying insects. The views are nice, we saw baby rabbits, maybe a heron?, A fox, and a bunch of Cardinals.

Nice paved trail along the C&D Canal. You can get from old New Castle to Chesapeake City. Bring bug spray, pretty good amount of mosquitoes and flying insects. The views are nice, we saw baby rabbits, maybe a heron?, A fox, and a bunch of Cardinals.

Went to the St Georges parking area for the Mike Castle C&D trail. The 15 mile trail is paved from Delaware City to Chesapeake City ( 13 miles) and travels into both cities. Follows the north side of the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal. Good for walking, jogging, bicycling and has an off road for horses that follows...

A.C. of E. recently did work on this bridge 2018 but its still a bumpy mess. Beams are all marked up and with concrete missing. They either need to fix it properly or tear it down...
