This is an update to the review I left 4 days ago. original review ============= its a great business, and the techs were acceptable with their knowledge about what was to be done.
however, it is a business.. and is where i should have drawn the line. next time, i will replace my own air filters.. why pay 2 dollars less than the cost of the part, for the install?? dumb on my part.
then I get a phone call about my review ========
It was mentioned by one Jason - that I was wrong, and that the cost for labor on the "cabin filter" was 30 dollars due to them having to take apart half of the dash.... but the filter is in the glove box, why would you say you had to take apart the dashboard??
anyhow, I still believe that the mechanics are great, but their customer support is going to need some work.
My bill for an oil change, with engine, and cab filter replacement, gas additive, and wheel alignment, with a 15 dollar free car wash - Plus a wiper switch replacement was a whopping total of 703.40..
I was not thrilled by the cost, but accepted my fate as this was a business, and businesses need to make money.
I get that, I was going to let this all go and just only get real work done when it was needed.. but then the call came in telling me I was wrong for my original review.
here is a breakdown of the items taken care of, costs of parts + labor. with links on what I "could" have purchased most items. which if i really looked, they would be cheaper prices. morries bill

car wash was free.. part of the oil change package... but "customer pay shop supplies for repair order" 15.00 .. ok, so it was not free.. that would explain why its still pretty dirty. but i did not expect much.
in short.. it was my own fault that I payed so much.. but it will also be my fault that I do not pay that much again.
please do...
Read moreI had a great experience with Rob Beckwith in ordering my Ford Maverick Truck. He was even more helpful when my truck arrived in setting up the blue tooth on my phone to connect to the screen in my truck. Showing me how my radio stations work too. He answered whatever questions I had about my truck as well as showing me how stuff works. It was a new experience for me because I never bought a truck before and with everything being auto on and off. Makes driving a lot easier to just focus on the road. I asked Rob to take a photo of me on my phone with my vehicle and he did. Rob is very kind and caring for his customers and so was everyone else I met at Morrie's Grand Ledge Ford. They even have a cute tradition of hitting a sort gong before you drive off with your new vehicle. I don't know of anyone else who does that. And everyone claps their hands for you too. Update: My 2022 Ford Maverick Truck had a recall on Side Curtain Airbags. I informed the dealership with a copy of the Recall Letter. The parts were ordered. They fit me in based upon my availability and I took my truck in. I was given a courtesy ride home and picked up by the courtesy van when my truck was ready. I call that great service. I received a wonderful gift from Ford that I was not expecting. I received a 18oz Yeti liquid drink container that has Built Ford Tough Logo and MAVERICK imprint and a YETI sticker. Went to the parts department in June and ordered Maverick Letters. I placed them on my truck myself, easy cheaper.
I still love my Ford Maverick Truck. I always receive great service with recalls.
I recently had an oil change and rotation of tires. And I always ask for a complimentary car wash. I continue to receive good service at Morrie's Grand Ledge Ford.
I took my 2022 Ford Maverick in for a Recall fix. It was completed, along with a vehicle wash. While waiting, I had a snack of which Morrie's Grand Ledge Ford always have. After two hours, I was on my way to my next destination.
I just Traded in my 2022 Ford Maverick for a 2025 Ford Maverick. I took good care of my first Maverick, it had 15,135 mileage and Ford kept telling me that my vehicle is worth more money now and they wanted me more than I wanted them.
I worked with Jenny Davis the Saleswoman and Lindsay Seely the Financial manager. They were great and fun for me to work with, we laughed a lot. They both gave everything I asked for.
I was at Morrie's Grand Ledge Ford so long that the Appraiser manager bought me dinner. I was treated like family. I had the Best and most Wonderful experience at Morrie's Grand Ledge Ford. Great employees.
I'm driving my new upgraded 2025 Ford Maverick truck. I've been to Morrie's Grand Ledge Ford for service so many times for my first Maverick and now my second Maverick. I feel like I'm a regular customer with the service employees that they know what I like and expect. I forgot to ask for a car wash. And my truck washed when it was...
Read moreBy his own admission, Chris (the service representative) knew very little about cars. He primarily relays information from the service guys to the customer.
At the start, my wife and I were heading for a week long vacation so we dropped our car off on a Sunday and would return the following Saturday to pick it up.
We hadnât had air conditioning in the car for a couple years and decided this year we would finally have it fixed.
We knew they wouldnât begin to look at it until Monday or Tuesday and since we wouldnât be around until the following weekend it wasnât going to be an inconvenience.
On Wednesday, we got word that the work had been done and a technician had been running the car every day to see if the air conditioning holds and there were no leaks.
Friday afternoon, the day we are to return, the message changed. Suddenly a leak is discovered.
My beef isnât that a leak was discovered as much as it took 5 days of testing by (what I assumed to be) a qualified technician. Five days!
Hereâs the interesting part in my opinion.:
As a service person, you must be able to assess and pinpoint a leak fairly quickly in order to get the information to the customer so that a repair can be done and out the door. It should NEVER take a week to discover a leak. Particularly if tests had been going on every day.
Iâm certainly not questioning the accuracy of their claim - that someone had done the testing every day. But it seems curious that the leak was found on the last day of the week. Makes me kindâa wonder how many others had gone in for an air conditioning repair, only to find out four days later, had they kept their car in the shop, this leak would have been discovered. Or⌠that that car really hadnât been worked on at all and only on the last day did they actually pulled it in and do the work.
Well, whatever the case may be, to have Morris send a text asking that they âstriveâ to provide 5 star service to every customer. And to âlet us know if you can't give us that rating.â
And for the record, after a weeks worth of testing and a conclusion that a leak exists on the final day⌠My air conditioning still does not work. Iâm pretty confident that a first year technician would have detected the leak within minutes. Morrie, youâre not getting a five star rating, or a recommendation. I would prefer you and your team perform service timely and thoroughly.
And one more thing. You need us, hard working consumers who take pride of their vehicles to be profitable. Not the...
