Thursday-Adult night and they consider 16 and up adult. The night I went it was lovely. Mostly people over 20. I didn't care for the music. I may be older but I like newer music too. It was like the dj was playing a Skate CD bought from some infomercial. But with music you can't please everyone. I also think 10 bucks it a lot considering the price at other rinks. Friday was teen night and it is an absolute madhouse they don't have the staffing to keep the kids in check and lot of the rules can't be enforced. it makes it a little dangerous. I did like how they checked people skates for safety upon entry. I fell hard because a young man did not look before making a sudden move. We collided. I dont think Friday night is a night for children that dont know how to skate. Observation: They also do not enforce masks. The staffing that was there is the reason why I rated it 3 stars. they are pretty amazing. And the guy that was on the floor was very firm with the kids it wasn't a matter of being nice or gentle it was a matter of safety and he expressed how important it was because the teenagers are pretty oblivious to it. I get it...they just want to have fun. I really strongly suggest that Teen night is not a night for small children. The rink is really nice with the traditional wooden rink floor the carpet looked new and I did not go to the snack bar but the lockers were very expensive at $3 with a $5 deposit. I am not an advanced skater and so I would not go on teen night again. I would recommend the skate rink to a friend. I also suggest that maybe the rink have a loyalty membership where people can just pay a membership fee for the month for unlimited skate or after visiting the rink so many times maybe they get a free skate night and that's per individual. $10 is a lot also if you pay with a card it's 40 cents more. pay cash and you save...
Read moreTook my granddaughter here for her 5th birthday, she loves to skate! The place is clean and colorful! I only gave 2 stars because upon entry into the rink, my group and I was at the counter to pay. The man that was taking the money was very passive aggressive and just plan rude. I told him I was paying for 5 people, he gave us arm bands and as he was putting the last band on, I said, " I also want to pay for 3 to skate." The misunderstanding happened when I said to him "I need to pay for 3 to skate" he very rudely said to me "I don't charge parents an admission fee to watch their kids skate!" This was my first time at this rink. All the signage said was $8 admission so that's what I was prepared to pay! NOTHING said anything about parents being spectators and not having to pay. I think it annoyed him because he had given us the bands already. He only has to take back TWO BANDS, that's it! The other 3 were skating so they needed to keep their bands. My nephew was with us, spectating as well, the man charged me $8 for his admission because he's a teenager. I didn't fight about it, I paid it, but I will NEVER go back to that rink again because...
Read moreYou know I believe in treating people the way I want to be treated . But the people here are really mean the way the take care of business There . They show no passion for what they do . A boy was stopping for a second by the wall . And he got yelled at , but the people of one of the employees family stood there and they ( staff guy with no hair floated by on the skates and hi- fives them , isn’t that bizarre ? It was my first time with my 6 grandkids at and my last . Oh and when it was time to go at 11 they were telling people you can’t stand inside and wait for the ones returning there skates. My grandchildren are 5 years old and I’m not waiting outside for them and leaving them inside with those crazy people. They look like they would spank your children...
