one of the BEST Pizza’s I’ve ever had!
Crustini Pizza and Cuisine, Deltona, FL
My husband and I have driven by Crustini Pizza and Cuisine countless times, and we finally decided to stop in and give it a try. Tucked away in a small plaza, this little pizzeria turned out to be a delightful surprise. The interior is charming, with a cozy atmosphere and even a checkerboard at the table for a quick game while you wait. The few tables inside make it perfect for a casual dine-in experience, and the bathrooms are conveniently located.
What really impressed us was learning that the owner, who also makes the pizzas, crafts his sauce and dough from scratch. The care and expertise in his recipe shine through in the delicious crust, which might be the best we've ever had.
We decided to take on the 28-inch pizza challenge—finish it in 28 minutes, and you win the pizza for free along with a $50 gift card. (If you lose, the pizza was only $35 which was a great deal!) We opted for pepperoni and pineapple as our toppings. The challenge was fun and garnered some applause from other patrons, but the sheer size and the tasty crust ultimately defeated us. Even though we didn’t complete the challenge, the pizza was unbelievably delicious—definitely the best pizza we've had in a long time and easily one of the best I’ve ever had!
The owner was not only skilled in the kitchen but also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Having grown up in Deltona, he gave us some great tips on hidden gems and parks to explore, almost like a local tour guide.
The customer service was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to enjoy more of that amazing pizza. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend trying the pizza challenge for a fun and...
Read moreI’ve tried this place twice now and it’s been horrible both times. The first time I ordered a cheese calzone. Not only did they botch all of my customizations (you can see on my receipt I asked for no garlic, and no olive oil and my calzone was doused in both (plus herbs and parmesan that I also would have rather not had), and I also asked for no marinara so obviously they had to throw one in for me. Oh, and spoiler alert, the calzone was terrible anyways. The mozzarella wasn’t even fully melted inside, and they use some weird herbed ricotta that is almost completely smooth, more like cream cheese. It’s odd and gross and nothing like normal ricotta.
Decided to give them one more try tonight because I saw a few people say the pizza tasted “authentic.” I have no clue what these people are smoking, because the pizza is absolutely dreadful. I asked for extra cheese but it didn’t seem to have much cheese at all, and it’s cheap cheese anyway, no stringiness/cheese pull like you’d expect, and the dough/crust is god awful too. Dry, yet somehow also doughy. I’ve had better pizza at Chuck E Cheese.
What’s hilarious is when my DoorDash driver dropped it off, she told me that this is a new location of the restaurant Dominic’s, which I gave a 1 star review to a few months ago for being the worst Italian food I’ve had in ages. Now it all makes sense! I truly feel badly for the people of Deltona who have so little idea what good Italian food is that a place like Dominic’s can thrive to the point of being able to open a...
Read moreWe REALLY wanted to like this place after being faithful to another restaurant for over 15years. After being highly recommended by friends of ours we finally got to order delivery after a phone outage mishap the last time we tried to order delivery. First our order got delivered to the wrong address despite me spelling our street name out to the person who took our order who sounded less than interested to be taking our order to begin with and when she asked for the zip code I said “32725” and they delivered to a “32738” zip code. I spelt it out to her initially without her asking because our street name gets mistaken for “Courtland”. I actually said “P” as in Paul for the beginning of the street name. Then they called us back to confirm the address and I once again spelled it and by the time the food got to us, as predicted, my calzone was cold, my husband’s pizza was cold, and my daughters $8 Cheese Fries which were nothing how they were described were cold, limp, and rubbery and I had to not only reheat them in the toaster oven but add more cheese to them along with reheating my calzone and the pizza in the oven. I wish I would’ve taken pictures of her fries. By the time everything was said and done they were closed. The delivery driver apologized because they gave him the wrong address. He was super...
