I Needed re-bar for an art project and bought exactly what I needed. I also needed 1/2" conduit to fit over the re-bar which was cut in half by a helpful employee so it would fit in my car.. My challenge was when I was at the checkout and a lovely, polite girl took me out of line over to self checkout and helped me. The pic shows the re-bar, conduit, and my artwork. Thank you Houghton Lake Home Depot!

I had an awesome experience at the Houghton Lake Home Depot. I purchased some hickory cabinets and I asked for some assistance loading to my car. The gentleman that help me was super patient and made sure that the load was secure with me. He went above and beyond all expectations and I sure appreciated his help.

Edit: Sooo many complaints here from women and veterans! I'm a woman and my husband, brothers, and friends (including females!!!) are military! Beware!

Before I say anything else: NEVER, EVER deal with a guy named Jamy (yes, that's the correct spelling) in Millwork! He was rude, condescending, hostile, and dismissive - probably because I'm a woman - but whatever. He was aggressive from the start and kept talking (really yelling) over me so much that I finally said, "Can you just listen?" Then he got all butthurt and said "Wow!" and told me to he wouldn't deal with me anymore, like he wasn't the one who was being a complete jerk from the start.

So, on to the real problem and a note about the people who were actually awesome. I've been trying to get the doors I purchased (and paid for in full) installed for 4 months now. They were supposed to order two custom-sized doors (an exterior door and a screen door) back in April. I waited 6 weeks for the first doors, and they came in so damaged they were not able to install them. I don't think that was Home Depot's fault. No problem so far.

They reordered the doors and we scheduled the delivery/install. However, when the installers (who are not from Home Depot and were actually great) arrived they had the custom exterior door but Home Depot gave them a standard-size screen door, even though I bought and paid for a custom door. A standard size - obviously - wouldn't work.

Over the next 2 weeks I called to try to figure out what was going on and was always promised a call back, however, no one ever called back. I finally went in person to Home Depot to cancel my order all together and get a refund which is when the interaction with that Jamy guy happened. The woman who DID end up helping me was an angel named Jeanette. However, even she said the order was in such disarray she couldn't tell how much the screen door cost, how much should be refunded, or when the replacement screen door order might actually be in. I had all my paperwork, but they couldn't accurately even really read what had been sent to me.

On top of that, Jeanette said there was a balance on my account, which didn't make sense because I was holding the payment receipt. Because she was so nice, I decided to just wait and see what happens with the screen door reorder. I hope I actually get a screen door and am not out $750 +/-. The customer service manager, Chris was also really helpful. Unfortunately I won't be shopping there anymore because of the scary, aggressive dude.

The takeaway from this is: If you're in the Houghton Lake Area, just call a local company and - for God's sake...

The day had finally come for me to purchase several Power Tools that I've been wanting and needing quite some time. Specifically the Milwaukee M18 21° framing nailer as well as the Makita 15 amp circular saw corded. In Aisle 9 a young man named Matt help me out but other lingered looking at some of the other options down the aisle and he led the way to the Milwaukee M18 display another employee intercepted me and began telling me that the cheapest battery had was the Standalone battery somewhere in the middle of the aisle and that he didn't have any package deals for the Milwaukee M18 batteries. He also stated that there would be no deals of that nature for M18 batteries and tools until Black Friday this was confusing because it was contrary to what I had read in the Home Depot app. I couldn't help but wonder why he thought I was looking for the cheapest batteries since I never said that I wanted the two batteries the charger that came with the three belt sander which was prominently displayed in the aisle of the endicap aisle Matt the original player was helping me help me continue my purchase the other employee who disrupted my purchase and almost caused me to leave continue to be ignorant obnoxious and rude eventually he realized that he didn't know what he was talking about and I continued with my purchase of over $1,000 worth of tools one of the employees should be commended the other one should not be saying things that are false...

BUYER BEWARE This was the worst purchase I've ever had.....we were sold a product that was faulty...it buckled and cracked in the matter of 2 months....they assured us it would be handled...after 2 long trips (8) hours to the cabin the Home depot manager was a no show...when he finally did come he never fully inspected the floor but just stated that if "there own installers" installed this they would warranty it..then he made several statements regarding my cement walls expanding..that's what caused this.....he finally admitted its possible its a fault product, but said its also the installers fault....all her did was back peddle after 4 months...I gave them every possible chance to make this right...after he told me 'its not my sales rep. job to know all of the product information' I gave up...he began to say if his sales rep misled me what product to get I couldn't hold that against them because they don't know everything" I lost hope in Home Depot and the Pergo product...I saw=5 horrible reviews on the same product as well as customer service... they blamed everyone including there sales staff and others rather than standing behind their warranty...right now we are in the middle of a lawsuit with them...money is no object when it comes to principle and doing what's right...ill lose 5 grand in legal fees to make sure this doesn't happen again to any local shopper...I did this all over the phone so please...
