THESE PEOPLE WILL MAKE A DEAL SOUND GOOD ALL THE WAY UP TILL THEY GET PAID! The two stars are only because the couch I found at the store looked amazing (it hasnāt been delivered yet so we will see if it is as nice as the floor model). The sales associate I worked with was very polite and assured me that I would have my couch delivered a couple weeks after the purchase (original date was February 5th and I payed for the couch at the store in mid January). While still at the store the sales person discussed how this couch was set to stock at a later date at the shipping warehouse and that ours was a different case because there was one getting shifted from somewhere else (Iām paraphrasing because I canāt remember what was exactly the case but February 5 was the for sure date). After buying the couch with the reasonable ship to my house date I got a call that I would leave town for work so I called the store to see what time the couch would be delivered and if my brother could sign for it, they then told me that I wouldnāt be getting the couch on the 5th as discussed when I payed for it and that Iād get an alert when they came up with the date. The next date they told me was that it would get to them on February 18th and would ship to me around 2 weeks after. Which is ridiculous, complete denial that they had ever told me Iād get the couch on the 5th and not even an offer to knock off the shipping price or free insurance or anything. Then a couple days ago I get a message saying that the new arrival date will be February 25th, so again I arrange to have friends clear their schedule to help me set up the couch, and when I double checked with them sure enough they told me that that wasnāt the date it would get to me, thatās the date that they expect to get it and it will still be a couple weeks till itās delivered. Sure enough their boss wasnāt around for me to speak to either, so here I am, duped into buying an expensive couch and now either being told I can get a refund or I can wait it out. No other choices or offers to fix the obvious lie that was told to me by the person that sold me the couch while eating a sandwich at her desk. And I loved the couch so I donāt want to cancel, but I also bought it under a false pretense.
Bottom line is they will lie to your face about delivery dates and go back on their word.
Also the person who has been messaging me dates and acting like it doesnāt matter what was told to me in the storeās name is Erica and the Salespersonās name (from my receipt) says Amanda, Iām not sure if it was Amanda that set me up with the couch order and told me the date or if that name on the receipt is that of the person behind the desk who did...

So in January we called to have it serviced, and it wasn't until February that a tech came to our house to come examine said furniture, take pictures, and then leave. I called to follow up on this and I was told a replacement part was ordered and that they will not simply replace the entire piece of furniture and we have been waiting ever since. I have been told that it takes time getting parts because they will not ship until they have an entire shipping container's worth, and I have also been told that this length of wait time is normal "due to covid restrictions" since some parts are coming from overseas. So as of this moment, it has been five months since I called for service, and Ivan Smith seems perfectly content to have me wait indefinitely for a third party to resolve the issue with the furniture I purchased from them. If I hadn't purchased the additional warranty, I have a feeling I would be completely out of luck. Since I was so undecided, I then went on the website and reached out through text. I got a quick response and was able to discuss some items I saw on the website. About a week later I had stopped in again and Janae, who was great, helped me with some pricing on few different items and discussed the current sale that was coming up and the current one. She explained the break down of all the savings. The next day I had a decision made and went in on my lunch break and the lady behind the desk, sorry can't remember her name, was able to finalize my purchase for purchase for me. She was very professional and pleasant. My furniture had to be ordered and came in a month early. I was able to have it delivered within a couple of days. Thank God for Saturday delivery, what a convenience. My overall experience from shopping, to purchasing, communication on status of my order, and delivery was absolutely wonderful!!!
