Buyer Beware, do not use Protector Door and Window, they will keep your deposit even when they screw up. To top it off, my sales person has done nothing but lie about the situation. I ordered the product on the 22nd of Oct 2018, from there the scheduled install was for the following Saturday. When the installer arrived, he informed me they didn’t measure it correctly, it was too large and someone would be calling me on Monday. My salesman called the following Thursday and then he says it needs to be a special order and it would cost me an additional $75. That upset me, so I requested that he not do a thing until he hears back from me. Several days go by, I called the salesman and requested a refund, he said he would call me back the following day. I called a day or two later and left messages with him and the store and they never called back. When I did reach someone from the store, they said my contract doesn’t allow refunds after 3 days from the time of the order and the gate was special ordered, however; I informed them that I requested not to do anything, I didn’t request the special order and you up charged me $75. They said they waived the 35 dollar up charge, I said it wasn’t 35, it was $75 and I indicated that I called my sales person about the situation. They said I should have called the store directly, I said to them I did call the store by calling my sales person, they said calling the sales person was not calling the store. After the loud shouting match over the phone, I came to the conclusion that they are stealing my deposit and was not worth my effort arguing with them. This company installed a heavy commercial door to my building at the end of October. About three weeks ago, it stopped working. I called the company multiple times and was told that the original installer is not answering the calls. They kept promising me that someone will call me back and no one did. Then I was told that the warranty is expired (120 days*i checked with another company and they said they usually give a year) anyway by the scheduling manager and would be a $50 fee for someone to come and I told him that would be fine. After multiple attempts, they set me up with another installer to come out on a Monday from 9-10, it 10:15 and he did not show up. We rescheduled it for the next day and he couldn’t do anything and couldn’t even open it manually and he said some will call from the office and as I expected no one did. At the end and I as I was told that the manager said that at this point I would have to contact another company. To me, I think they forgot a couple of things,
-The installers work for them and they represent them.
-I called them not the installer. Read moreTERRIBLE SERVICE! I ordered 2 doors in early June. I was informed they would be ready in 8 weeks. I paid almost $3000 for the doors to be installed. 8 weeks passed. I heard nothing from them. I called to inquire “ oh it will be a few more weeks”. Approximately a month later they called and informed me my doors were ready and they would be out to Install the doors. I took off work to be home for the installation of my doors. The guy arrives and inform me the guy that did the measurements was off. I’ll install these doors and come back in a week or so with the correct door and by the way I was informed you owe me $400 more dollars because you also ordered a door with the mail chute. There was a big gap at the bottom of my door. When you call the building there’s a very rude lady with no customer service skills that answers the phone. I asked to speak with a manager or the owner. She informed me he was on vacation for 3 weeks. I have never experienced customer service this badly in my life and I’m 62 yrs old. My sister also wanted some new doors installed at her house.
