What an awful experience. I am in sales so my income fluctuates every 2 weeks it will never be the same two weeks in a row. I explained this to my original case worker, I explained it to the gentleman who helped me renew as well. During the renewal process and sending in documents I got a notice my 1 year old daughter is losing medical coverage because I make to much. I'm sure my son is to follow. I called and spoke to my new case worker and she was aggressive and nasty. I attempted to explain to her the situation and how I spoke to my old case worker about it . She said it doesn't matter what anyone said to me it's my responsibility to report any changes of income even if it is every two weeks. How does anyone budget for medical insurance if it changes every month. They also reviewed my income themselves 2 months back and had sent me a refund for the money I paid for premiums for my son because I qualified for free insurance. So they obviously dont know their hand from their elbow. She threatened me saying that i will get correspondence due to failure to report and actually laughed at me when she was telling me my children are losing their insurance. What an awful human . The government is supposed to work for us and they are only here to hurt us and our children. If at all possible I would avoid medical assistance from the State they use it as away to come after you. I call my local office in Milford and after ten minutes of prompts which have nothing to do with why im calling, they ask for your zip code to transfer to the right place .. So why then is it my local office number i have dialed. Ive tried my case worker for three days in a row. No call back. I don't have Internet nor am i tech savvy. So, in order to place any call you have to listen to a million prompts about My Compass, My Compass! What about people that don't have it? Then when you call the main number in Pike County Pennsylvania Buist, Road Milford, the recorded woman who again, recites many prompts, speaks (v e r y s l o w l y), to the point where you feel like they are speaking to you in that way because you dont have a brain in you're head since you're low income. One woman pulled me into a little cubical and spoke to me like I was an idiot. She expected me to know about all about this Obama care, and all about state assistance.
