I don’t normally write reviews but potential customers need to know. The office is very unorganized, unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. Getting the initial big and install was like pulling teeth. For whatever reason I continued with them. First service was scheduled and they were a no show. I called and the apologized for scheduling mix up. 2nd year oil changed scheduled a date when they called. Seemed very unorganized as she attempted to find a date. Appointment was made, I confirmed before ending the call. Morning of appointment I called for an estimated time as I took the day off. She did not have me on the schedule and attempted to make an appointment another day. She decided to send someone at unknown time today and would call so I could be present. Later in day when dog was barking, saw someone finishing up the service with no call. Did not run the generator before changing oil and you g guy said it wasnt that cold didn’t need too. It was raining and funnel was filling up with water. He attempted to put the water and oil into the motor when i asked him to pour/wipe out the water. Said he didn’t have any rags and what did I want to do. I called office, seemed pleasant, and advised he was wrong and he will put clean oil in, run it and change it again. Service man received a call from office and had her on speaker. He and I heard her calling me discusting curse names and told him to change the oil again. I called he back and she is the manager. As a business owner, this is not how you treat customers. Terrible terrible…. Never will use this company again nor would I ever recommend anyone to support...

4/19/2025: A transformer blew near our house, knocking out the electricity in a large part of our neighborhood. Within a few minutes, our Generac started up and restored our power. It worked perfectly confirming that it is a worthwhile investment.

We've bought two Generac generators from Rettberg's, one for our first house, the second for our present home. In both cases, the installations were done professionally and efficiently. The Generac units have been good investments in keeping our home functioning in emergencies. Both have worked well and come on a few seconds after an electrical power outage. Rettberg's also does the regularly scheduled maintenance at a reasonable cost. Mark and the staff are always courteous and pleasant. Today I called with several questions about our warranty (nothing is wrong, just a request for information) and about the possibility of installing two humidifiers on our furnaces. I received an excellent suggestion that will work without cost to us, saving several thousand dollars. I've recommended Rettberg's to some friends, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them again.
