Great date night idea! The class started at 7:30pm taking place at a really nice kitchen in the Miami. The Chef gave us a brief history of the meal we were going to make, the different types, and the cultural aspects of the food. The best part in this class was that as she would describe a type of food. There isn't a better way of learning about food when you can actually taste it. Before the cooking portion of the experience, she went around and presented the tasks, and each person chose to the tasks they were interested in.
The kitchen was very nice, and spacious. This really helped me appreciate all the prep work needed to prepare a superb meal, we all worked together and I had a lot of fun not only with my girlfriend. We bonded with the other couples sitting with us and we had a blast.
I have become a huge fan of the Taste Buds concept and will be doing more cooking classes, exploring my favorite meals. I think it's a great opportunity for a date and, if you want to get to know your team members at work better, you can book one of their team building activities. I also think the Taste Bud experience makes the perfect gift for the ones in your life that are extremely difficult to shop for (or the ones that already have...
Read moreMy 10 year old daughter participated in the week long “Cooking with Science” virtual camp. She loved every minute. The recipes were a good level of challenging for her, but she could still work independently. I needed to help maybe once during each class. She learned some new skills and made many things we would not have made at home. Her favorite was the molten lava cake. I was also impressed with how well everything was organized for the parent to prepare for the week. The shopping list was very clear and easy to follow. It was also easy to put all of the ingredients and tools out prior to the start of class and she could just get to started. The instructor also did a good job of breaking down the recipes and leveraging zoom to interact with the kids. I signed her up for...
Read moreVery cute place for kids but the instructors dont seem to care about sanitary issues. Saw kids putting utensils in their mouth while using those same utensils for creating thier cake. But the worst part is food falling on the floor and an instructor picking it up an placing it on the table for a child to use on their cake. Had to remove it myself because that is gross. We dont want our children learning that. Also utensils fell and they where just used instead of being washed and then used. Makes you wonder what the prep food has gone through when your not ther . I did speak to the owner. I was supposed to get a refund but I'm still waiting. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone. Will be letting the homeschool community know...
