They wait until a new semester starts to send you documents to sign and they put holds on your account, instead of doing things ahead of time like normal schools do. This causes many problems for students and is a poor representation of the school itself. Send students important documents they need ahead of time instead of after a new semester starts! And communicate with students about required documents ahead of time! Academic advisors and financial aid advisors at this school need to do a better job at actually communicating with students ahead of time instead of not communicating at all. I had to give this school one star because that is how terrible their system is. And when you call them to inquire about issues, they’re not helpful, are unprofessional, and act like you’re bothering them when you’re the one calling to find out what the heck is needed to fix a problem. So if you’re someone who likes to know what’s happening AHEAD of time from your school and you like good communication with the school, don’t go here; you’ll be on your own to figure everything out and you won’t be notified about important needed documents until AFTER the semester starts when they suddenly place a hold on your account without communication. Very poorly structured system. Get it together, Mercer! Academically, the school is great, but from the administrative side,...
Read moreI really love how the campus is set up, I don’t got here but my girlfriend does and I am quiet jealous of this campus. It’s in the times of COVID-19 but there aren’t too many people on campus and that’s makes it a bit less of a full university experience. It’s a great college/university campus and one of the only one you will get in Atlanta since more of the high education will have a broken up campus with cars driving but and the craziness of the city. We have to make a few stops all over campus but everything is walk as long as you know what you are looking for and if it’s not you can easy hope in your car and drive to a different part of campus and not have to park for parking again which you don’t have to park for at all. If you are a student you will have to get a parking deck but it’s free. If you get a little confused about where to find a service you can easy ask anyone on campus and they will be happy to guide you just something you don’t see on campus like GSU or GA Tech. I definitely would recommend if you do have a car take it on campus with you because you might want to go off campus to do other activities but there is a Marta bus stop outside of campus too. Definitely will be come to visit her on campus and explore...
Read moreIf I can give Mercer 0 stars I would. Save yourself time and money and look elsewhere. The nursing program is over priced for an old lab, nothing works, not even the glucose monitors they have you practice with. There’s only a couple of good professors that actually care about the students. They switch things up during middle of the semester, nothing is consistent. The worst part is when final grades were submitted I was shown a passing grade in a class, a week later I received an email stating that I failed the class. Georgia Baptist School of Nursing is not what it is hyped up to be, there are better schools in Georgia. And let me not forget, they accept students without all of the required prerequisites fulfilled, then once accepted into the program they tell you that you have few weeks to complete the prerequisites or you will be dismissed from the program. Do your research on other schools in the Georgia area before applying to Mercer,...
