Overall condition of course was above average. However grounds crew were totally oblivious to our groups. As we were approaching 8 to putt here comes a worker on his mower, he procedes to start mowing the short fringe on the green we were putting on. (Absolutely true.) This place just doesn’t care about service or taking care of clients. We recently had dinner there party of 8. It took 10 minutes to get water and order drinks. 20 minutes before drinks show up. 1 hour wait for food, which was mediocre at best. When paying 2 couples needed change another 20 minute wait. Server was great. But the management behind the scenes extremely poor. When we complained to the manager she never apologized. Simply said she would look into it. Black Gold is becoming my go-to golf course. The new ownership has invested heavily in making this the premier destination for local and non-local golfers alike.

The greens are the fastest and truest in the area thanks to their new mowers and the fairways are in great shape. Expect to be tested and to use most of your bag.

Staff, especially my guys Clyde and Tom are some of the friendliest I've had the pleasure of interacting with. They're always happy to see you and help you get on to play some golf....
