Overall - we had a good experience and I would be happy to buy from them again. We purchased a custom table with matching curio cabinet and custom sectional sofa. We love the final product on all of them!
My only complaint: I knew when i came to them that i had cut my timing close. We would be moving in just 9 weeks from the day i drove to Amish country to check out their store. I spent a long day with Vernon (who is a terrific and patient salesman and designer, by the way), we laid out what i wanted and I was told we could make the timing work. A week passed and he emailed me with a few questions. Another week passed and he had more questions for me and the news we would most likely not have the sofa by our deadline.
Here's where things turn around. The owner Roy Weaver stepped with a few calls to the company actually building the sofa and an offer to loan me temporary furniture should it come down to it. He then sent his own team to North Carolina to pick up our sofa when it was ready and get it back to us - by our original deadline. We are very grateful to both Roy and Vernon for making it work for us!
That all said - the day of delivery came around and we had our shiny (& heavy!) new table, curio and sofa all delivered together and on time by 2 kind and professional gentlemen. After they left, I realized the curio was missing the plate grooves i had requested. Vernon has gone out of his way to get me new shelves - with grooves - made and will be sending them up.
Long story short: after a couple of stumbles - one big, one small - Weaver's has really turned it around and and we are delighted with our new custom furniture. They are worth your drive to Amish Country and worth your time & investment!
oh - a note on price: Weaver's was not the most inexpensive option we looked at, and that needs to known walking in. But the quality of the furniture makes it 100% worth it. We see this furniture as an investment and hope...
Read moreThe buying experience at Weaver's Furniture was great. The salesman was very helpful and eager to help us with the sale of our first Amish made bedroom suite. The furniture is so beautiful and very well-made, but we did have an issue with our mattress upon delivery. The mattress is very well made, and we wish we could use it, but it will not fit through our stairwell. The delivery team made every effort possible to get it through the stairwell but was not successful and only resulted in a broken banister and damage to the ceiling of the stairwell and our freshly painted walls. We didn't know it wouldn't fit through the stairwell, since we just purchased the house. Therefore, we called our salesman on the day of delivery and he insisted that the mattress could not be returned on the delivery truck and that he would have to talk to management about our options. I am not sure why we couldn't return the mattress on the delivery truck, which seemed like the most logical thing to do since we are almost 3 hours away from Ohio. Even the delivery team thought that didn't make any sense. After weeks of trying to work with the salesman and his management team, we were given only one option, and that was to return the mattress, with a 50% restocking fee and would have to drive all the way to Ohio to make the return. I've never heard of a 50% restocking fee, but apparently it was on the back of our receipt, so make sure you read their return & refund policy that is strategically placed in a light-colored ink. All we wanted to do was make an even exchange for 2 twin XL mattresses and a mattress bridge. The mattress is still in the original wrapping and we felt that they would have a better chance of reselling the mattress than we would. We will never get the money that we have invested in the mattress if we sell it. Unfortunately, Weaver's will not even take our calls anymore and that in itself is very...
Read moreMy first experience there this past Saturday was my last. I stopped in looking for a pub height table. I found one pretty quick that I liked. As my husband couldnât be with me, I text him a picture to see if he liked it as well. An older salesman approached me to ask and answer questions. When he found that I sent the picture to my husband for his input, he turned and walked away while still talking to me. I donât know if he assumed that wifey couldnât make a purchase without husband or what, but it was obvious his interest was gone. I likely would have bought the table then and there because my husbandâs response was he liked it as well. However, after the salesman did that, I left there and went to Andreas where weâd already bought a dining room table two years prior. In life, you should never walk away from someone like the salesman did, but especially in sales. That man and the business lost a sale. Initially, I was going to give only one star, but their stuff looked nice. Iâll never know quality because I will never step foot in there again. No excuses for the...
