Great hike to Lake Solitude and Paintbrush Divide. Difficult, I did the loop coming up Paintbrush Canyon and over the divide, then down Cascade. Took two days but met a group doing it in one. Loop is 22 miles and 4200 elevation change. Had problems with the bears in June, I would have felt much more comfortable with bear spray. Definitely recommend it when hiking here. I had a problem with a bear once before too, but had some that time so not as stressful. Hiked the Tetons 5 times and had encounters...

Amazing trail that very underrated. This trail brings you between two massive mountains. From here, you can see the Grand Teton even closer as well as the other surrounding mountains. After 2-3 miles into the trail, you can find a absolutely phenomenal scene in which you get to see a lot of the mountains. I've never met a bear on this trail but I saw multiple mooses and these are the big danger as they'll run you over and they aren't...

We were on the Cascade Canyon Trails from Hurricane Pass to Lake Solitude, mostly the third afternoon and fourth morning of our 4-day backpacking trip from Death Canyon Trailhead to String Lake Trailhead. Views are gorgeous. We saw a big moose and our campsite was visited by a few deer. Ample water all along. We camped the third night at North Fork and it got very chilly. Tent was covered in frost when we got up. This was...

No clue why anyone would ever do this hike! 😉 Thanks for the awesome audio @wandering_jessica_ 🤩 THE HIKE: 🥾Hidden Falls (& inspiration point) via String Lake Trailhead. 🗺This route takes you from the beautiful String Lake, around the side of Jenny Lake, and then up to Hidden Falls. You can also add close by Inspiration Point. 🧭The route clocks in around 5.5 miles out and back, HOWEVER, I strongly suggest Cascade Canyon as well! It’s accessible from Inspiration point. ❗️It’s really a “make your own adventure” situation in Grand Teton. So many trails connect. -If you have the time, do the entire Cascade Canyon Trail! It’s beautiful! (9.1 miles RT) -From Cascade Canyon, head to Lake Solitude for a 14 mile RT hike! ⛴During warmer months, the Jenny Lake ferry will shuttle you over toward Inspiration Point. It’s a great option to save a few miles. 👉🏼YES, this is sarcasm! Follow @krismariawanders for more terrible hikes!

3 Days in Grand Teton National Park Save for an epic trip and check my blog for a full itinerary! Day 1: Take an epic hike! My favorites: Delta Lake, Taggart/Bradley Lakes, and Cascade Canyon End the day exploring Jackson Hole and try some huckleberry ice cream. Day 2: check out the Jenny Lake Area Do the scenic Jenny Lake drive, ride the boat across the lake, or stroll around String Lake up towards Leigh Lake. Keep an eye out for bears here and always carry bear spray! Day 3: Drive the rest of the loop! Take in the beauty of Mormon Row while you look for moose, see if you can spot a beaver at Schwabachers Landing, and stop at the pulloffs for Teton Glacier, Willow Flats, and Oxbow Bend. Have you ever explored The Tetons? . . . . . #grandteton #grandtetonnationalpark #grandtetons #grandtetonnps #nationalpark #nationalparks #nationalparksusa #nationalparkservice #nationalparkstraveler #roadtrip #roadtripusa #roadtrippin
