Islander Shoppe — Local services in Drummond Township

I can't say enough good things about this store and their personnel! My child and I stayed for a week on the island, at a local campground, and we rented a kayak and paddleboard, which they dropped off and picked up for us!

While the kayak was being dropped off, I asked the employee (turns out it was Mike, one of the owners) if they stock hammocks because I forgot ours and my kiddo was none too happy! Mike wasn't sure if they had hammocks, but came back later that afternoon with his own personal hammock!!! He told me I could keep it for a few days and to just leave it at the Islander Shoppe when I was done with it.

I was grateful for the hammock, but more surprised that he took time out of his busy schedule as store owner and FERRY CAPTAIN, to bring me his hammock. The island community really is special.

We really enjoyed the kayak and paddleboard and my kiddo loved swinging on the island breezes in the hammock.

The store is clean, well stocked, allows dogs inside, and has great staff. I will definitely be back!

Very pretty uncut, unpolished Puddingstone from small to large sizes! Reasonable prices. They also have items made from Puddinstones which are pretty! Nice pieces! The employee was very helpful and knowledgeable about the island and have us great ideas about what to go see! They do charge the fee for running a card, like most places on the island and a lot around the country. Bring cash if you don't like that! Most places just make their items a higher cost so you don't realize you are paying it! I would recommend this place as a great stop when you are on the island! I gave a 4 instead of 5 because they have kayak rentals but we couldn't rent them because they weren't registered yet which I thought was strange...

We wanted to rent kayaks for our stay on Drummond and even though they were not officially renting them for the season they accommodated us and delivered to nice boats to the place we were renting.... The girls that helped us were so very helpful and much appreciated...great customer service. The only downside and not their fault was the water was way too rough to actually use the boats. Would rent from them in the future. Also very nice items for sale in the shop...
