Stopped on the way back from the OBX as the monster truck ride place was closed. Pleasant surprise. Hayride to the pumpkin patch for $10 was pretty cool, as the owner talked about the sunflowers and cotton plants. Very informative mobile class as he put it. Peach yogurt was amazing. It was the lady owner birthday when we went and she lovingly cut and gave fresh peach samples. Another lady gave us apple cider samples. My wife liked the farm produce so much. Fresh butter beans, peaches, jumbo peanut and so much more in the fall. Cool $3 OBX souvenirs to share. An amazing experience for us all in the family. Friendly service starting with the owner. Will definitely come every time we are here. As most have noted, no one wore masks, but this is an open market. So no worries. We did wear masks though mostly and kept...

If you are traveling through the area, this is well worth your time - even if it's out of your way.

I felt like I stepped into another world when we went to Grandy's. They had pretty much any fruit and vegetable that you could imagine, and then tons of local goods as well. It was all fresh and mostly locally sourced. The vendors and staff were very friendly, and they were offering samples, too.

You would think an open-air market might have a certain "look" to it, but everything was extremely clean and organized. You can tell the owner(s) really care about what they are doing here.

Oh, and they have a bakery on site - the cherry pie was to die for, and we ate it all on the way home. Couldn't let...

Drove over hour to come here from Nags Head and turned around within 10 minutes. Masks are not enforced or worn by any of the staff. My friend and I wanted to go and just pick a pumpkin, but the employees told us that we have to pay $10 for a hayride and frozen yogurt. It seems like it would be a fun idea, except I don't really want to ride with a bunch of strangers who are maskless. We asked if we could pay the $10 to walk and pick our pumpkins without the hayride, but the lady at the register was very rude to my friend and continuously insisted we ride the hayride. I'm sure this place is nice when there isn't a pandemic going on, but I'd rather err on the side of caution when it comes...

The one thing my friend wanted on her bday was a jar of Salas and we were able to get it and bring it to OBX. When she took it out of the fridge it slipped outta her hands and broke all over the floor. She was upset but thankfully we had friends coming down and they went to pick up another one. My friend didn't even ask for it but a worker there heard what happened and have her another jar for free and that is the sole reason we're now customers for life.

Nice that they were open earlier than other farms. Bought some delicious looking red slicing tomatoes, bananas, sour dough bread, and two cups of coffee, one decaf and one regular. Water melon was a little high but perhaps not in season. We didn't buy any. Hit the tourists in the pocket, but understandable. We'd go again. 😊 Mr. Grandy took his time to tell my partner about places to see and do and what areas are mostly hype. Sounded accurate to us.

On our way to Outer Banks, we stopped at Grandy Greenhouse and Farm Market. There were many great samples. We purchased many things like salsa, pineapple, bread, grapes, tomatoes and peaches. Also, we picked up a couple body boards for our time on the beach. The boards are a better quality and had a lower price tag than any we saw near the beach. The staff was friendly, it was hot outside, but comfortable in the greenhouse/farm market.
