Never Again. $204 for one day. I booked short notice two days before I wanted the golf cart and Was already on vacation. Beach buggies used EMAIL to communicate a cancellation offer when Hurricane Dorian was impending then TEXT message when they actually wanted to get a hold of me and we were in mandatory evacuation. I (like many people) don't check email while on vacation so I didn't get that email offer message but when they text me I responded right away. I was completely compliant with their request to get the golf cart back and nice about the unforeseen, situation. However, it's tough not to feel that Inconsistent communication methods on their part cost me $204 for one day of golf cart rental. They could have communicated their cancellation offer through text message but chose not to. Their usage agreement indicates that they are under no obligation to give refunds of any kind regardless of the circumstance. I recognized that and never thought for a second that I was getting all or even half of my $245 rental fee back but the fact that I just got a check for $41 is absurd. The two other people I split the golf cart rental fee with think so as well. They made out on me.

   Read moreVery disappointed in what transpired with your company….but I’d like to add a comment back to the owner on a previous review…what you failed to mention in your response back to our complaint was 1- my husband was told 9am delivery, not a window. 2- we called a few hours later and still didn’t have an eta. 3- I called personally at 3pm, and no Answer…I left a message and asked for a call back. I had called you all back again only to be told “our cart was damaged and we would NOT be receiving one at all! Again I had to call to learn this information. 4- I asked to speak with a manager and yes I was frustrated…so my sincere apologies, but I expected better service since it was the company’s issue. It would have been very helpful to assist us in finding another but she literally said she couldn’t do anything or help. That’s just Unacceptable! There was zero effort to make it right…just a half sorry and so be it! There’s a learning opportunity here on customer service and what to do if this happened again!
Our cart request was not for joy riding it was to assist two elderly family members, one who is fighting an illness, back and forth to the beach….again I’m Sure you can further understand my frustration! We never got a call back from the owner as requested either.

   Read moreWe are extremely disappointed with the service from OBX Beach Buggies and would not recommend this company to anyone. From the start, the golf cart we rented had issues—low to no tread on the front right tire, unpredictable jerking, and by Tuesday night, the tire completely blew out. It was unsafe and unacceptable.
We spent that evening and the following day trying to reach someone—calling multiple numbers listed online and in our emails, with no response and some of those numbers even out of service. Eventually, we had to drive nearly an hour to their storefront, only to find it closed despite their posted hours.
It took almost the entire day to get a replacement cart, disrupting our plans. We had to call a completely separate business owned by the same person just to get any update.
When it came time for pickup, there was no communication at all. They showed up unannounced, were rude to our family when the cart wasn’t present (though we returned it within minutes), and even blocked our neighbor’s driveway during the process.
The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and overall disregard for customer experience made this a frustrating and stressful part of our vacation. We will not be renting from OBX Beach...
