We previously lived in one of their properties and had a great experience—until move-out. We had to wait the full 30 days for our security deposit and only got updates after repeatedly calling and texting. The excuse? The owner went to Korea for a planned 3-month trip but returned early because “work wasn’t going well.” If he had stayed, would we not have received our deposit at all? The owner’s personal travel plans should have no effect on our legal right to a timely return, as required by Georgia law.
What made it worse was the attitude. Sunny told us we’d understand “once we become homeowners”—a comment we found condescending and irrelevant, especially since we have been homeowners. Daniel Lee was also slow to respond and dismissive, hiding behind legal language instead of offering clear communication. Another thing to keep in mind is that the dishwasher has been broken and they called someone to fix it. However, they said that they couldn’t fix it and we would need a new one. They have not changed the dishwasher since we left as well.
