I'm changing my review. It's been several years and this particular Kroger has gone down hill, big time. It doesn't help that Kroger in general has gone down hill. Their ridiculous skeleton staffing hours and the unwilling to help the good employees because "they'll catch up" is extremely unfair to the employees. Red flags 🚩 of businesses that are going down hill is not spending money on uniforms and convincing employees it's just for their comfort. You speak to Kroger employees they're cranky, depressed, tired, over worked, they are constantly working under the conditions in fear of getting fired because they are given a 10 hour job and expect it to be done in 3 hours. It's impossible to get something done right and safely without cutting corners. This company can do better but they are a tyrant. Give those departments more hours to get the jobs done right and you might actually find yourself making more money as a company. People are willing to work for less if they are treated right and with compassion. Act like those people have a life outside of Kroger, and Kroger shouldn't...
Read morePerfect small town grocery store with all the staples you can need. And the people who work here are always lovely! One thing to note though, the floral department at this Kroger does not fill up outside balloons with helium (meaning if you buy a unique balloon on Amazon that Kroger otherwise doesn’t sell, you can’t bring that balloon into Kroger to pay them to fill it up with helium). I know Krogers in other areas of the country allow you to bring in balloons and pay them to fill the balloon up with helium, but it’s possible Kroger changed their policy on this and I just hadn’t learned of the change until I needed balloons. They did tell us that no other store in Dundee will fill up balloons, so perhaps its a Michigan rule? We called the store across the street and they told us they’d fill up the balloons so perhaps try there if you’re in need! Or drive to a bigger city and buy one of those small...
Read moreI don't know what happened to this store, but it is going downhill fast. In the last 2 weeks I've gone in there in a produce department is nearly empty and there are many other parts within the store where there's lots of empty slots. When I ask for help all the ever tell me is that they got scratched or someone made a mistake on ordering but they always give me excuse no one will own up to it. There has been some changes in management and to me I believe that seems be the problems since these new managers have shown up, that's when the things started going downhill you don't see them is often out on the floor, they aren't engaging customers they aren't doing their job. Come on Kroger buck up and start doing something to the only grocery store we have here in...
