You know I'm really trying to like this place it is the closest Mexican restaurant to me, and they have some good stuff on the menu.
Every time I go there they rub me the wrong way.
I walk in Sunday afternoon there are lot of cars in the parking lot I'm wondering if I might not get a seat.
I peeked in and the restaurant was full however the bar was completely empty ... 0 seats taken at the bar.
I advise the host that I will sit at the bar because it's the only place where seating is available he replied "We don't have a bartender right now so we will get to you when we can. " In all my years I've never had that told to me before.
So I sit at the bar and in less than 5 minutes somebody brings me a menu and asks what I like to drink. That's reasonable.
In the meantime I watch no less than four different employees go behind the bar and make their own drinks.
The special was the jumbo lime margarita so I tried it. Actually I've had it before and it wasn't bad ...however this time it tasted like diluted Squirt. I don't like different people who are not the bartender making my drinks every time . Last time I was here the bartender that was at work spent more time waiting on tables and they did waiting on the bar patrons.
Why does this location find it so difficult to be like the other El vaqueros?
The food is Hit or Miss some of it is really good and some of it is not.
Exception: The guacamole here is above average like the other locations.
I've had fajitas here before they are good but expensive AF. And I weigh the taste and quantity of meat or shrimp versus the dollar amount. And here this place falls below baseline.
Even non Mexican places that serve Mexican food and serve fajitas give you more food for your money. And don't get me started on their Taco Tuesday there's nothing special about it.
My wife is already done with this place I decided to give it a couple of extra chances because I really want it to be better. I like their outside patio in the summer I like the location and all the bars and restaurants that used to occupy it.
Now when I want Mexican I either make it at home or I drive to Milan Tecumseh Monroe Lambertville or Toledo and it's all your fault.

After being gone for several minutes, he came back with a new bill for us, but told the other couple with us that their appetizers didn’t get a discount. The next time we went, we found out that the list was very smaller. When we asked what the happy hour special was, we were told that there really isn’t one. And when we went to pay our bill at the end of the evening, we were hit with a surcharge to use our credit card that we were never told about in advance. My husband, two year old son, and I got the Vallarta Faitjas in the super-size to share, and we had leftovers to take home it was so much food. The taste was fantastic.
