Cozy Cabins & Cottages — Local services in Dunlap

Loved the location around so many beautiful parks and hiking trails. Sadly when pulling into the driveway, we ran into the owners house? with 20ish people outside partying. We asked where our cabin was and got a rude response from 1 of the people there ( The one with the #3 on it followed by laughter). Outside of that we had/nor wanted any communication with the owners. Also not a huge fan of being so close to all the other cabins (15 feet away?). There is no smoking which is fine, but when your neighbors are on their porch smoking and you have to put your cabin windows up because the smell of cigarettes is filling your cabin is not great to say the least. The cabins insides were not to bad(just as seen in photos). but were not maintained or shown attention between guest. For examples, there was mold on the shower curtain, they had hot chocolate and tried making some for my kid but it was past a year expired and rock solid, the paper towel roll provided had food on the top/bottom making the whole roll contaminated. The hot tub is shared between all cabins and was falling apart,(the top was completely broken off and had to be carefully removed just to use the hot tub). Our vacation involved mostly hiking and after a long days hike it's nice to come home to a comfy bed. The queen bed had me tossing and turning all night. It was so uncomfortable, you felt every spring and in the mattress! (i'm 6" 175lbs). It was not fun waking up to an aching back knowing you were going on another hike!. I would not recommend it to anyone, nor will I...

We just returned from a 6 night stay at Cozy Cabins and Cottages; we stayed in the Annie Oakley cabin. The cabin is clean and well furnished; the beds are very comfortable. Made good use of the kitchenette for many meals. The grounds of the property are gorgeous and very peaceful; we enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings and the evenings and enjoyed some rainstorms from there as well. Great location inside Fall Creek Falls and close to all the activities in the park. The property owners are very nice and accommodating; when I needed to extend my stay for a day on a busy weekend they were able to move things around to allow me to do that. Very impressive! Please note that cellular service is not available on property if you are with Verizon as they must not have any towers nearby however the resort offers wifi for any emails and such you need to do. You can get a cell signal about 1 mile up the road and once we got used to this fact it was kind of nice being cut-off for a while. We found out time at Cozy Cabins very enjoyable and relaxing and we will stay with them again the next time we are visiting family...

My husband and I just returned from a much needed getaway to see Fall Creek Falls State Park, Rock Island State Park and wanted a quiet relaxing place to stay. We loved it at Cozy Cabins! We stayed in the Annie Oakley. It was very clean and a lot of thought had been put into the cute and cozy decor. Everything was in top notch condition. We enjoyed steaks on the charcoal grill, built a fire in the fire pit and relaxed in the hot tub. The owners were very nice. Flowers have been planted around the landscape and the area is surrounded by woods. We slept great. Very quiet all 3 nights. We do recommend bringing some food and drinks. There are a few restaurants but not many nearby. I would love to return someday to revisit Fall Creek Falls and maybe look into some kayaking as well. Beautiful area! Very happy with our choice to stay with Cozy Cabins...
