BUYER BEWARE
To respond : that is absolutely incorrect, many of these photos are as it stands currently. The “positive review” is below and I made clear why I wrote it as such. Continual use of a drawer for 4 months means it should break ? No, you guys used 1 screw where there should have been 2 and incredibly short dainty screws. There’s still chips, uncaulked edges, was never sent the pen we were promised to touch up the nicks that are already there, we’ve called & got blown off 2x and then no return call. It’s cheaply made & the installation was even worse.
Another update 5/8/24 The drawer has completely detached 4 screws have fallen out entirely it doesn’t close it is a useless waste of money
I left the original below but wanted to update it is now 3 months later, to start we were offered $100 off our charge to provide a “good review that showed they addressed concerns” it felt if I was a bit more harshly honest we wouldn’t have gotten that. We also got $500 off our project because of the issues I will state shortly & honestly that was not enough. From start to finish & beyond it was a problem. First installer put a hole through the wall to the other side, the drawer was not straight, had a leaking faucet assembly, chips already on the drawer paint, side and back splashes that did not fit though it was measured by an owner, he poorly installed our water lines to where the hole was too big and incredibly loose & left a HUGE hole behind the sink, he also did not sister a stud he had cut completely & finally the sink and vanity was not level. The project manager Damian came out saw all of this and said he would have a more experienced installer come out and repair it. The next installer came out he and his wife were wonderful people and did their best to remedy the already messed up vanity, another side and back splash didn’t fit & noticed a warped side on the vanity. At that point we had expressed we were to the point of saying rip it out take it back and refund us. That is when we were offered the $500 off. Ordered another side and back splash got that installed, at some point our light switch cover above got chipped & the new side panel installed as well. We also had to request a quarter round molding because it looked SO unfinished around the edges. The first attempt was to CAULK tile strips back into place. I’ll include photos of that as well. Well 3 months later we have noticed horrible covered up nicks and just straight torn up paneling that was covered by paint or caulk, the drawer that was not in straight & was “corrected” is so loose the screw is tearing up the “high quality” wood drawer. Caulk does not go fully around the edges and much more. we have reached out 3x. Were told 2x that they would call us back next day & never did. Seems as though once the job is paid for they do not care. The original final price tag on this was $3300 roughly, we paid $2700 roughly & it’s not worth that. We highly do not recommend. Also want to note there were poor reviews during our work that are now no longer there which makes me wonder why.
UPDATE down below We chose PSR to replace an upstairs vanity. It started off quite rough, the side and back splash needed to be cut multiple times, a leak, a hole put through the wall, dings & nicks that needed to be fixed, unlevel finish, amongst other things. The project manager came out and was very honest about the quality of work we receive and sent out a more seasoned installer to fix. He did a good job fixing what he could & the project manager himself to tidy up the last bit. In our opinion, it was not worth the original price & though we did get a discount it’s average compared to the excellent we expected when speaking to the sales people who really harped on quality. At the end of the day they did fix everything they could and it was substantially better. The project manager was VERY helpful, prompt & honest. We are happy with our vanity & it does seem to be a better quality vanity, it just did not meet our expectations...
Read moreA Perfect Storm a perfect name for this company. Before John appeared on our doorstep last week my kitchen was perfect. The electric and plumbing was pristine. My father was a contractor and I am very familiar with plumbing and electric work, thank god for that. I didn’t need any electric changed but Jeff is a great salesman so I agreed to it,hesitantly. All I wanted was new countertops, backsplash, sink and faucet. What I got was a perfect storm. It’s John’s first day and he’s nervous. He touches my plumbing and now it’s leaking all over. He removed all my working copper pipe and fittings and replaced it with red hanging sharkbite. It continued to leak so I bought a new disposal at Home Depot with my own money to help stop the water issue. So they leave that day and the dishwasher is not working. I notice my wall is all damaged John had trouble removing the countertops so that has to be repaired and I am painting it. To continue this perfect storm, they replaced the electrical outlets and said they were finished but the didn’t replace the 2 GFCI outlets that were originally in my kitchen. Without them, you could be shocked being near a water source. So they are back again and installed the GFCI outlets and it appears the electrical is fixed …that is until I decide to trip the GFCI outlets and well you guessed it, the kitchen outlets no longer work. At this point I demanded that a certified plumber replace the haphazard sharkbite set up with the original copper pipe, fittings and shut offs, that were in my kitchen and in working condition. Secondly, I demanded and certified electrician come in because now my house is at risk for a fire, since the electrical was done incorrectly and not within current codes. They basically destroyed perfectly working plumbing and electrical systems in my kitchen. To look at my kitchen it looks very nice now countertops are beautiful and the backslash person did a perfect job, but all of the of the inner workings of a kitchen they touched they destroyed. Jeff is a great sales person but this company has no substance. After threatening to sue them, the project manager Damian and his dad were sent up. Damian was wonderful. He checked everything in the kitchen and restored my electrical work to code. I can now rest easy knowing that my house will not burn down. So, do not believe the reviews and awards online. This was my experience. They present well but it is a smoke screen for a disaster to come. Again, until Damian showed up and walked through everything with me, I felt my house was unsafe. This occurrence would have made a great reality tv show episode of what not to do when redoing a kitchen.. My house could have burnt down. I am writing this review because I am a social worker and I care about the safety of people. It’s my job. I want people to know the risk they are taking by hiring this company. If you want to possibly flood or have your house possibly burn to the ground by all means hire A Perfect Storm. Not to mention, they are very expensive for the low quality, out of code work they do. I have warned you. Good luck in your decision. If I did not know what to look for, I would have electrical and plumbing issues. I truly wish I did not go with this company. I am glad I have an opportunity to provide anyone seeking to hire them with an...
Read morePerfect Storm Renovations did our kitchen and two baths. Our experience has been positive, and I LOVE the results!
Perfect Storm installed Nova Light Grey cabinets with an Azul Platino granite countertop, backsplash, and window sill in the kitchen. They put in a new sink and replaced the light over the sink. For more counter space, they recommended we move the stove over slightly and go with a Lazy Susan cabinet next to it. We thought this was a good idea, and it was! Everything is 100x more convenient for cooking now! They also found a way to get the stove to vent out (it didn't prior, but they were able to make it happen in our case which was HUGE for me). Last but not least, they added new plumbing for a dishwasher and did the electric.
I can't say enough good things about the kitchen, and I can't believe it's our kitchen when I think about the before (1970s style kitchen with limited space) and now. It's gorgeous, spacious, and functional. It feels so good to walk into this space.
For the first bathroom, we had almost everything done new by Perfect Storm. This was an old 1970s bathroom renovation. There was tile falling off in places before the renovation. We had them remove the title and replace the walls that had been half-tiled with new walls and crown molding. They took out the old tub and installed a new one with a Triton tub surrounding. We already had a new vanity and toilet, but Perfect Storm was able to install them (this was an add-on request that they were able to accommodate and it involved more plumbing than they expected, but they got it done). They also did a white trim around the door and window. This bathroom is now one of the coolest places in the house!
For the other bathroom, we had Perfect Storm replace the tub with a walk-in shower and Calacatta White surround. We asked them to make the floor flat (there was a large step that brought part of the floor to a higher level). They didn't think they could make it flat due to how that area was constructed but said they could make it smaller. At the end, they were able to surprise us. They found a way to make it flat! Perfect Storm also came across a damaged wall and went above and beyond to put in a new wall. I can't emphasize the work they put in enough. We love how this walk-in shower came out and are delighted to have a flat floor in that bathroom.
It only took about two and a half weeks total for all three renovations. I was present for each. Perfect Storm never cut corners when they came across unexpected complications. They kept us informed and made sure everything looked and functioned correctly. I'm very happy with the work done, and so is my family.
Thank you to everyone who was part of our...
