Let's start by saying that there isn't real superintendents looking after this houses and the guy in charge is a glorified babysitter "Erin" is one of the dumbest I have seen in the construction business, and that leads to houses full of problems, all kinds of problems, from electrical to plumbing, frame, foundation and sheetrock and painting, there is nobody paying attention at how those houses get build and they get paid to be babysitters and drive around! At the end of the day D.R Horton is a great builder but not around Lafayette or Lake Charles. But what do I know, I only been doing construction work for 22 years Those houses...

Cane Place is a cute up and coming subdivision in Dusom, LA. I've worked with Chance(the sales rep) for several of my clients that purchased DR Horton homes. Each time he has been professional and addressed any concerns that arose! If there were any issues the company and superintendents made sure to correct them. The homes are beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet. Now, just because I said the homes are beautiful doesn’t mean it’s high quality. The superintendent doesn’t do anything except drive around babysitting cars parked on the grass, it’s hysterical. Some of the homes lawns are terrible and poorly maintained.
