My family and I visited Naq’s in Duson on a Saturday morning, and overall we had a great experience. We were seated quickly, which was nice, especially since the place isn’t very large—it’s cozy, so I imagine it fills up fast. Parking is limited, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re heading there during peak hours. There was a live band playing, which added to the atmosphere, but unfortunately, it was a bit too loud for our taste. We love live music, but we also like to be able to have a conversation at the table, and that was tough with the volume. The menu is small but offers some solid breakfast options. While it doesn’t mention it, you can order a la carte—my son had bacon, eggs, and a biscuit, and everything came out just right. We ordered beignets for the table, and they were absolutely delicious—definitely a highlight for all of us. My father-in-law really enjoyed his Bloody Mary and the breakfast tacos, and I had the chicken cracklins and waffles, which were flavorful and satisfying. Service was okay—not bad, but not great either. We weren’t offered any refills on our drinks, which was a little disappointing. That said, the staff was friendly and the restaurant (including the restroom) was clean. Overall, Naq’s delivered a good breakfast experience, and I’m definitely interested in going back to try their dinner menu. If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out.

It is often said that the best food is off the beaten path. That is certainly the case for Nat’s N’ Duson. It is a couple miles south of Interstate 10 about six miles west of Lafayette, Louisiana. I had the Thursday lunch plate that included generous sized pork chop and mashed potatoes with seasoned corn and a garden salad and roll. The food was the perfect amount of spicy and overall very tasty. If you are on the interstate and in the area and hungry, you would serve yourself well to stop in at this place. There isn’t much parking for 18 wheelers unfortunately because this would be an ideal place for them for a decent meal that might actually be fairly healthy.

The food was excellent the crabs 🦀 were full and juicy, shrimp was so good . The potatoes were sliced and delicious fully cooked which was great corn was seasoned just right. The beers are cold the service is on point and the owner checks on you often . Live music Thursday to Saturday. This place is definitely one of our new favorites we will be back to try crawfish. That for great experience.

Atmosphere was alright enough. It was a country vibe with a slight modern spin. The waitress was quite nice (can't recall her name). My wife ordered a drink called Duson water which she seemed to enjoy. The appetizer is what bothered me. We ordered the gator bites (fried alligator nuggets). DO NOT ORDER THEM. Unless you know the price. For nuggets the diameter of a quarter and a cup of sauce, they're 18 dollars. Not the end of the world, but wouldve appreciated the price on the menu at least. I mean. A whole bag of alligator nuggets costs approximately $16. After that, the entrees came. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Fries were so salty I felt my blood pressure shoot up. Waitress brought us the tickets. Total for a fried fish platter, basic hamburger and fries, one alcoholic drink, the damn appetizer, and a 20% gratuity came to whopping total of $88. Everyone at the table (party of 8) were stunned by their tickets. For one man to eat cost him $60. If you're coming here as a small outting with a date, not bad. As a group, hope...

My husband and I with another couple went there tonight for supper. We walked in and told the girl at the front counter, we needed a table for four, (there were 2 tables available from our view) but she said, there was nothing available at the time, but said we could sit outside. So we all agreed to sit outside. It had just finished raining and wasn't to hot. We sat there for 15 minutes, 2 waitress kept passing, never asked if someone had waited on us. One little waitress stood and talked to the people next to us for a few minutes, never looked our way. Finally and older lady walked out and brought a drink to a gentleman, on her way back, I politely asked her if she could send us a waitress so we could order. Waited another 5-10 minutes. This young girl walks out and goes passed us to wait on a table with another couple that had just sat down. Never looked our way as she passed. We got up and left without eating. Very very poor service! We will...
