🚨Nice little light station and worth a stop if you are visiting eagle River or as you transit eagle River going/coming from copper harbor. There is a small fee to go in to the museums and light house ($8 per person donation) You can walk the ground, go up on the look out deck and visit the gift shop for free. But you can also leave a donation to help save and care for this light and the surrounding buildings. The area can use your tourist dollars.

There is parking for about 14 cars if everyone parks well or parking for 10 if there are people from MN or Chicago that are entitled or simply don't know how to park. There are signs for no vehicles over 21 ft so larger vans, class C, and class A RVs will have to park out a little ways and walk in. This place is also dog friendly and allows well behaved dogs 🐕‍🦺 on 6ft leashes, and requests you are a good B.A.R.K. ranger and pick up after your pets to keep the show clean. The latest offer, because this restaurant has been open for 10 years, in order to give back to customers for their service. So they launched such a special offer, AUCE is only $16.99 per person. However, you have to join their membership (VIP) to enjoy this price. If you want to become a VIP, first you have to pay a membership fee of $59.99. Then they will give us a $50 gift card. So this means that we only need to pay $9.99 to get a year of (VIP) membership. And the price of each meal you come to (AUCE) for a whole year is $16.99. This is much cheaper than ten years ago. In my memory, it was $19.99 at that time. With the arrival of the holiday season, if you want to give a gift card to a friend or family member, you can join the VIP membership, give the $50 gift card to others, and keep the VIP card yourself, or give the VIP card to others and keep the $50 gift card yourself. This is a good suggestion. You can also give the $50 gift card and the VIP card to two people at the same time, which is also...

The worker I spoke to who was at the kiosk (where you pay) was extremely rude. My partner and I were planning on visiting the lighthouse but when we arrived we saw that the admission price increased from $5 to $8 a person. Since we aren’t big lighthouse people & honestly just wanted to do a quick stop here- I walked to the kiosk to inquire about getting my lighthouse passport book stamped (basically every lighthouse has a stamp that you can collect). She said that I could visit the gift shop. I said okay- thank you- as I turned & started walking over there she screamed at me in front of a couple of other visitors ‘WE ACCEPT DONATIONS. ’ I was planning on donating but after she behaved that way towards me I didn’t even want my passport stamped.

I do not recommend visiting this place because of the way I...

What a welcoming stop!! Sweet older man welcomed us when we bought our admission tickets. ❤️ He gave us a nice run down about the place and the four museums on site. Honestly he was such a sweetheart! The lighthouse was pretty neat! Couldn’t go in the tippy top by the bulb because they still use it today as a functional lighthouse. But you can climb the stairs and look out the windows. There are display rooms of the living quarters behind glass but the other rooms like dining room and kitchen are our able to walk through and get close up looks at the antiques. Gift shop is really tiny but still has some good treasures. I found a super cool fridge magnet and a sticker for my vehicle. Great views of Lake Superior. There’s a small tower you can climb to get a nice view. Definitely worth the stop.
