I just recently had Todd overhaul my older MacBook Pro which now works great and not really knowing anybody or place with whom to entrust this too as all my vital information is kept there and all that data needed to be transferred an sorted to a new operating system and hard drive. am not really comfortable or proficient with the computer so that makes the task of choosing the right company or person even more difficult. the last place that did this from my old pc to the MacBook just dumped data good and bad into folders and I had a hard time sorting through and finding needed information and all my I-tunes library was completely lost and hidden away in some remote folder I had no idea even existed. I called Todd out the blue after reading reviews as I not only need somebody to do the service work I needed help to understand what was needed and how to operate a new system which was a big fear so I needed and wanted a much more personal interaction. that's exactly what I got from Todd from the first phone conversation to the parting goodbye. he's extremely knowledgeable at the tech end and takes the time and patience to explain all that so you understand exactly what's needed and exactly what your paying for and for me I spent several hours with him giving me instruction on how to operate the new system and where all the data was transferred to which Todd completely organizes and sorts in an easy to find manner and only the good data you need including my I-tunes library that he dug out from no man's land! if your like me and worried and not sure whom to entrust your computer woes to at the very least give Todd a call or make an appointment to go chat he will put you at ease right away...it really...
Read moreTod charges $150 per hour. Please remember a high rate does not necessarily equal quality work. I guess someone needs for for the posh representation of his home run business. He was not able to fix my phone so I purchased a phone from him that turned out to be defective, and although he offered a 90 day warranty, he did not even honor a 30 day warranty, when I tried to resolve the situation with him. He sets forth the image of high end sales and service provider, however in at least my case, fell short on integrity. You might as well go with a known source, you will pay the same and if you should run into problems, you wont have the integrity problems I experienced. To Todd's response: Todd seems to suffer from selective hearing. When a speaker is damaged it usually starts with the lower frequencies and eventually just stops working all together. The phone crackles on the low mid notes. I even had my other phone for comparison, which does not make the crackling sounds. There are no phone diagnostics that will indicate whether it is not functioning properly or not, other than the sound it makes and if he does want to hear it, running the phone through a diagnostics test will not show anything and he knows it, unless he is even more incompetent than I thought. He was just looking for a way to weasel out of it, so he could show me a clean bill of health. An honest man would have handled things differently. There was no need for a service contract we already have a sales contract I was not asking for a service, I asked for an equivalent replacement or my money back. Careful he is a slick talker. BTW the pictures are misleading I did not see anything like those images when I went to his...
Read moreTodd took complete advantage of my wife and me. We wanted to extract photo files from the iPhone owned by our recently deceased son. He assured us that if anyone could extract photo files from our son's passcode-locked iPhone, he was the guy. It was clear, from the moment he started trying, that he was clueless. He started by asking us to give him some passcodes to try. This was a totally random approach, and I should have stopped the session right there since my wife and I had no idea what our son's passcode might be. When it was clear that this crazy approach was going down a hopeless rabbit trail, he switched to calling Apple customer service for help. After Todd spent maybe an hour on the phone with Apple customer service with little or nothing to show for it and with no further options available to us at the time, we parted company. But Todd inexplicably claimed we had made "progress" when we hadn't. And he was happy to take our money for the supposed two hours of "services" that he claimed he had provided. Needless to say, we never contacted Todd again. But hopefully we learned our lesson. We'll be more careful with the next consultant we might choose...
