DO NOT BUY TREES HERE OR LET THEM PLANT TREES ON YOUR PROPERTY – Believe the other one star reviews about this place. They might be fine for smaller purchases but after the experience I had here I would never buy trees here and I certainly would never let Sweet Valley plant them for you. I bought 8 trees there and they did a terrible job planting them. As the pictures show they left the nylon straps tied tightly around all of the trees and did not unwrap the burlap at all once the trees were in the ground. Even worse, they buried the root flares of all the trees, in some cases a good five inches underground. (root flare should never be underground) They even planted damaged trees and pretended that they were fine. I had to figure this all out myself by pulling back the mulch. I had to spend my own time and effort exposing the root flares because when I brought it to the attention of the manager Chris he tried to convince me it was fine. Had I not figured this out the trees may have survived past their “guarantee” at which point Sweet Valley would say it is not their problem. I don’t mind mistakes being made if people try to fix them, but they will just double down and tell you it is fine and lie. I am sure some people don’t know any better so they just get away with it. Chris tried to tell me that the tree with the plastic tie strangling it was totally fine and would heal which is ridiculous. He was very dismissive and said they would get to it when they had time, as if they were doing me a favor. I had to insist on a replacement tree which they begrudgingly provided. I had all the trees planted in the fall and I watered and took care of them. By early spring one of them was already dying because it had also been planted with damage similar to the other tree because a tie was left around the trunk too long. Since they are supposed to have a guarantee on their trees I asked to have it replaced and Chris tried to tell me it died because of deer damage even though I had pointed out the original damage in the fall.(And I have had deer damage on other trees and know what it looks like) Even when I confronted Chris about the damage he was very dismissive. They didn’t care that I was a repeat customer that had spent thousands of dollars there. You will have to be very persistent to get even some of your money back and that is only when you confront him in person with other customers present. Even then I didn’t get back as much as I should have. Good luck!

My wife and I recently completed our backyard patio project and we purchased our pavilion from Chris at Sweet Valley Farms. I cannot say enough about the service we received from Chris and Sweet Valley. Pricing was competitive and fair compared to other places in the Ringoes/Flemington area. We felt like we received great value for our investment, and we can already see the long-term benefits of their work. Chris was in constant communication with myself and our hardscaper for the installation of the pavilion. He came out to my house numerous times to make sure that the project was being installed correctly and to ensure our satisfaction. I cannot commend Chris and Sweet Valley enough for their exceptional service and attention to detail during our project. We simply will not go anywhere else for our landscaping needs.

I ordered a delivery of landscape stone in May of 2013. That part was straightforward and fine. I called the morning of the delivery day to see if I could get an idea of when to expect delivery. You would think I was asking for a state secret when all I wanted was to have an idea of when to expect a delivery. The staff was rude and uncooperative and offered no helpful information. Basically, they expect me to wait here all day without even a delivery window.

I've been in the trades for 20 years and it is completely unacceptable for a company to expect one to wait all day for a delivery with no information about a time window. While I know that it is difficult to give an exact delivery time, a window of 2 hours is pretty easy with today's technology.

Sweet Vally needs to improve their delivery game because their current service is poor. It costs consumers time and pros time and money through their appalling lack of...
