Groleau's Farm Market — Local services in East Bay Township

This is a great local farmstand on the east side of town. We have been here twice now and each time has been well worth the trip. During this time of year, they are making fresh apple and pumpkin donuts between 10am and 4pm. The donuts by themselves are worth the drive. They also sell house made pastys (frozen), muffins, cookies, and other baked treats. This being a farmstand, they also sell all sorts of types of apples, pumpkins, squash, onions, garlic, leeks, sweet potatoes, and a slew of other fresh veggies. The person who rang our order was kind, patient, knowledgeable and helpful for any question we had. This was a pretty busy place when we visited the second time. I can’t believe it took me so long to finally stop here. We were on our way back from the Vasa Trail and decided to give their homemade soup a try. It was fantastic; we had the Farm Chowder and it was loaded with fresh vegetables and chunks of smoked ham. The Market had a great variety of fresh baked item, fresh and frozen meats, fresh pickled items and freshly made donuts. The best part was the bill. Everything was reasonably priced. The bread!!! The homemade bread is to die for. Good selection that could hold you over for a few days... They have lemons and the extras that might force you to go to a bigger store.
