This place is such a trip, I can't get enough of it. I don't know how to put into words, this place is like...off the hook. Bizarre, extreme. Unpredictable. Always an adventure. A mix of expired, dented, and discontinued items. You have to be careful and watch what you buy because some of the expired items have rancid fats in them. But it's worth it because this place is a gold mine for expensive, high-quality products at rock-bottom prices. I've gotten huge containers of top-quality loose-leaf tea, very fresh, or high-end organic coffee, or even weird things like organic buckwheat flour or rye flour. Some of the stuff here is so cheap it is practically free. I'd say a good 25% of the store is stuff that normally sells for $10 selling for 50 cents, and 50% of the store is stuff that is at least 75% off retail price. The remainder 25% of the stuff is still slightly cheaper than a normal store. Like you can fill up your whole cart, get up to checkout, and have it come to $30. The produce is also EXCEPTIONALLY good. Lots of local stuff, lots of small stuff (I love it, some of the best apples when it is apple season). My favorite sections of the store: produce, energy bars, seltzer, hair accessories. Some sections are hit-or-miss, like the baking supplies are kinda bad maybe 75% of the time but when they are good, wow they are good. Ice cream, like I've sometimes even gotten pints of high-end brands for like $1, but other times it's just junk. Lately they've had good nuts, but you have to watch dates on those, same with oils. Sometimes they have local eggs cheap, or cheese, frozen meats or seafood. Yeah...seriously, check this place out. Leave more time than you would for a normal supermarket, you need to take your time in each aisle to get the most out of this place. But if you do, you can easily shave HUNDREDS off your monthly food budget. Oh, and check the Amish calendar because this place closes on some holidays you may not have heard of. This place gives out calendars around the new years; take them because it clarifies all this stuff, plus it's just a great wall calendar; another random perk of...
Read moreJust had the worst experience ever. I arrived at the store at 4:10pm. As soon as I started shopping this one employee approached me to let me know the store closes at 5, which I was aware of. 4 more times during the next 30 minutes the same employee approached me about wrapping my purchase up and heading to the front of the store, mind you it wasn’t even 5pm yet. The last time he approached me was at 4:55pm. At that time I headed to the cooler to grab 5 gallons of turkey hill drinks. He came up to me and said he was taking my cart up front to start checking out. I told him not to touch my cart because I had my wallet in there and I had to get 5 gallons. I came out and my cart was gone. I had to carry all 5 gallon to front of the store. By this time it was exactly 5pm. Mind you I wasn’t the only person in the store. There were about 10 others. Not only did I get overcharged because I wasn’t there to watch them ring my groceries up but I also injured my hand having to carry all those gallons. I definitely took pictures. This is the 2nd time I was over charged. I mean it’s not by much but still that’s the whole reason for shopping there is to save money, not overpay. I asked the employee for his name and he wouldn’t give it to me. He was a tall white male that worked Saturday December 28, 2019. He harassed me my whole time in the store. He should of never touched my cart after I told him not to especially since my personal belongings were in there. I will be reporting this to the main office first thing Monday morning when they open. I’m definitely posting my whole experience all over social media and the internet. PLEASE everyone be aware of them...
Read moreWho doesn't love BBs? lol Great prices at a big discount from chain grocery stores, some items are at best use by date, some after that but food lasts long especially canned goods if cans not bent or rusty can be good for 5 to 7 plus years. They have some awesome deals in the freezer section many times n also refrigerator area with orange juice n other juices at a fraction of other grocery stores, yogurt prices generally very good n cheese prices are equal to sale prices at stores like redness, giant, wise etc or a few cents cheaper, can get big candy bars 3 or 4 for $1 at timed, bags of snickers, butterfingers, MMs, etc at $1-2 bag at times, lg selection of frozen meals many times $1-3 packages, fresh fruits n vegetables which may be as much as a chain store or much less. What the store has changes day by day according to what they get in but you can pretty much find everything on your shopping list except maybe a different brand. They do careful sorting of items so it's rare something expired for sale on shelf or a damaged open item, they will sell n can taped boxes or outer wrappers but where food is in a wrapper that is still intact, they are...
