How does this place have 4.9 stars? It’s so hard to believe. They couldn’t receive a fax approval for an MRI from the healthcare provider—three attempts were sent to two different fax numbers. They also couldn’t read an X-ray CD from Convenient MD urgent care. They claimed they tried twice, but I took the CD home, put it in an 8-year-old computer, and it loaded in less than a minute. Because of this, they decided to take another X-ray, even after we told them the urgent care one was negative. How is it our fault they can’t read an X-ray? They gave my wife a hard time in the lobby and at reception. Instead of just asking for her license, they demanded every piece of information on it and made her spell it out several times. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they put an unnecessary cast on her at the first visit and took a second X-ray—both unneeded, and now we have to pay for them. We’ll be calling back about that. Oh, and good luck calling—any number you press besides billing has at least an hour wait most times, including the option to set up an appointment. At the second visit, they took the cast off, put on a useless knee brace, and said she no longer needed crutches. The next day, she fell at school just standing up for a second. How embarrassing that I have to explain to my wife this place had good reviews and was a good choice. If you don’t believe me, reach out—I have proof of all this, including the X-ray CD that can be pulled up anywhere with a CD player. Then they said they “weren’t sure” if the knee had a complete fracture or a decent tear—from an MRI! We brought the X-ray CD and MRI from RI Imaging to Boston Children’s Orthopedics, and they couldn’t believe our story or the course of action by University Orthopedics. Boston Children’s put a proper brace on her and had a diagnosis right away: not a fracture, but a tear. I have a tear from trusting this place. Sorry for the long story—if you don’t believe me, call and try to get someone...
Read moreFirst time meeting Shaina and she is an excellent PTA. Very attentive to the programming that she needed to carry out for my treatment today. Very sweet and personable; she is compassionate and a great fit for this job.
Ok I don’t know how to leave another review for my primary PT but I will just add it here. Terry is an excellent PT and I trust her completely with my care. She is personable and funny and I feel very confident in my treatment with her. I have had therapy many times in my life and I happen to be an OT; Terry is a top notch therapist, I feel like I made a great decision choosing to come to university orthopedics but somehow I was very fortunate to be assigned to Terry as my therapist. I imagine there are other good therapists too but Terry is the best!!
Terry is my primary PT I have been seeing since late January after surgery and hardware placement for multiple lower leg/ankle fractures. She is an amazing PT who is compassionate with her patients and really works with you to help you to heal and improve. She pushes you in a way that is kind and assuring that you are not going to re-injure what you are healing. I am a therapist, an OT in the schools, and Terry takes into consideration what I need to be able to return to in my job. It’s comforting to know that she understands the limits of my condition in regards to what I will need to fully return to. She follows up with the Dr and helps to guide his decisions as she knows the functional limitations of my injuries. I cannot thank Terry enough for her expertise and bedside manner. This has been a very long journey to recovery and I am grateful for her...
Read moreI have nothing but incredible things to say about the staff at Kettle Point. I recently had an extremely traumatic injury, and have never dealt with this sort of thing before. I have also been dealing with a crazy amount of medical anxiety as a result of said injury through this process. That being said, Dr. Hsu and his team have been nothing but kind to me so far - very reassuring, encouraging reaching out to get information, and each person I have worked with has given me enough time of day to explain how I'm feeling and actually care.
Dr. Hsu is an INCREDIBLE surgeon - highly skilled, very knowledgeable, and very matter of fact, which I deeply appreciate, with a great bedside manner! He has answered all of my questions without making me feel an inch tall (which, I have had many doctors in the past do to me), and has listened to me every step of the way. Jennifer Gallison has been incredibly kind and informative every time I have encountered her. The multiple cast techs I've worked with are very good at what they do, and are happy to answer questions while they work! Last but certainly not least, Lilly Rego has been an absolute saint - I have had the most contact with her, and she has always done everything in her power to help me, every time I call. She is extremely communicative, and clearly very passionate about her job as well as the patients she works with.
I do not have the words to give my care team the proper thank you they deserve, but I figure a review is...
