My dad moved in a couple of weeks ago, and all I can say is WOW!!! They made the move easy, everyone was friendly and welcoming, and they focused on us as a family, not money, paperwork,etc. I ate there a few times (I was visiting from NC when my dad became ill and we had to move him here), and the food is great (I've ate at other Assisted Living places)!!! Their security measures are also incredible. I was involved in a car accident on my way to see dad, when a truck ran a stop sign, hit me, totaled my car. When I was escorted into the facility by a policeman (I didn't know anyone locally to come and get me), administration came down and eloquently checked to see what was going on. Read moreIn the last 4 years, my mom has been in 3 different assisted living homes down below. She was given adequate care, but the caregivers acted like they really didn't want to be there. They left her alone for long periods of time, rarely talked to her, etc. As soon as I walked into Tawas Village, I could feel the difference. Originally she took care of herself and the Village took very good care of her and provided good nutrition, and various mental and social enrichment activities. Her physical and mental needs have changed drastically now. She needs 100% care for all her daily events. Through out this, the Village has adapted what they do for her.
