Chagrin River Kayak and Paddleboard — Local services in Eastlake

We rented kayaks and had a blast. The scenery was great. Lots of friendly people along the way from the homes on the river and the boaters. All were respectful of the kayakers. We went all the way to the end and got out to see Lake Erie. We waded the shore line and took a small hike. The vegetation along the hike was beautiful. Amazing rocks and drift wood along the shore line too was a treat if you are a creative person. The folks were very helpful and friendly running the rentals. We found sparkling black sand...

Nice quick trail the leads to the beach ( very small beach but a beach nonetheless) the rental company is great, nice and friendly…the transaction to getting you on the water runs smoothly.the thing I’m not a fan of is the trail privacy ..it’s literally a boat path where people park their boat and you are technically in their backyard… if you don’t think you can get out the way properly I wouldn’t suggest it. Also if you make the wrong turn you could end up in Lake Erie so be sure you listen when she go...

However, I would like to advise any parents of smaller children to find another place to kayak My family was turned away by management due to having a well-adept 2 year old and there being cloudy weather and “not wanting to take the risk.” Upon the weather clearing up we attempted to go kayaking again and were turned away for my child being “too small”, though no size restrictions were listed and we planned on taking all safety...
