I have a very small kitchen, but I really wanted it to look as nice as possible. I did business with Firenza Stone thinking I was going to end with a wonderful result. Well, it seems that if your total order is less than $2,000 they don't do quality work like they would for someone with a higher budget. I had my granite installed this past December 2020, and it was just problem after problem. I am still unhappy with the result and I had been saving up that money for a while to get my countertops done. They came out for the install a day before I was leaving on vacation. The installers finished the job while I was at work, so I did not get to fully inspect everything right away. To start, there were huge gouges on each side of my wall where they smashed the granite into, leaving holes in my freshly painted walls. There were a couple spots (one that is still there) where the granite had small scratches in it or was not buffed to the same shine as the rest of it, there was a very large scratch across the top of my brand new stainless steel dishwasher, and they did not line up my sink faucet hole with the hole they cut in the granite (If they didn't take an extra second to line it up properly, then that is plain laziness!). I called and spoke with Robin, whom I had been working with and sent photos and explained all the issues. We needed to use our sink, so we spent a good hour chiseling out the stainless steel sink that was overlapping the hole in the granite, in order to get our faucet back on. I also had to patch and repaint the gouges in my walls. She said the guys could come back and buff out the scratches, but that there was no way they scratched my dishwasher. So basically, I was being blamed for scratching my own dishwasher that was brand new. The guy came out to buff the scratches. Again I was working. When I checked out the worst one, he had buffed the scratch out, but that area was completely dull with no shine! I complained AGAIN. When the guy came back a third time, he admitted that he didn't have his tool to polish the granite. Clearly he was hoping I would not notice because he never said this when he left the second time. After my third complaint, I asked to speak with the manager, because I was so pissed off about everything and not even excited about my countertops anymore. He just asked me what I wanted from him. He said obviously I cannot buy you a new dishwasher. Did not even offer any money back or anything. I have a center island that is not very big. I requested a piece of scrap granite of the same kind for my island when they had extra.... It has been 6 months so I assuming that they hoped I had forgotten about everything by now. To sum up, at this point I am still not completely happy with my granite countertops. There are a couple areas that they attempted to buff and polish and those areas are very obvious to me. There is also a spot right around the sink rim that was not polished and I look at that everyday. And finally my dishwasher still has a large scratch on it, that apparently I somehow did myself. Just a warning, if you aren't spending thousands of dollars with Firenze Stone, you will probably be treated as such. I can't imagine that all these good reviews left by people who had a large budget had to re-patch and paint their walls after the installers left, had to chisel out their sink to get their faucet to fit, or were left with scratches on their...
Read moreWhen I realized that it was time to do some updating in my place, I decided to do a little research and figure out how I wanted to approach my very first kitchen remodel. I knew exactly what I wanted, and I also wanted to make sure that I used only good quality products that would last (granite, porcelain tile/back-splash). I began shopping and received quotes from Lowe's and Home Depot, and they were very similar. The only thing that didn't sit well with me was the fact that the two "big box" stores obviously subcontract out the work. I wanted to make sure that I could have open lines of communication with the people that I ultimately hired and it was important that I felt comfortable throughout the process. Upon arriving at Firenza Stone's showroom, I wasn't expecting to be blown away (in a good way) by just how beautiful their different models were throughout. I knew immediately that these guys were the real deal and that I was going to be moving forward with them for my new kitchen...
I spoke with Dave Dozanti and Mike Fimiani and their approach and knowledge couldn't have been better. As a guy who works in sales I appreciate straight forward answers and proper follow up. After a handshake, Mike was at my condo the very next morning taking measurements for my new granite counter tops. I was so impressed with Mike and his service that I decided to use Firenza Stone for my flooring and back-splash. Mike met me after the showroom was closed so I could come by and pick out the material/tile so we can get the entire project done in a 3-4 day period, since I work crazy hours at times. The pricing was in line, and I am the type who will gladly pay more if good service is included...And it was. All the installers were extremely professional, great at their respective crafts, personable, CLEAN, and completed their jobs in the time frames as they promised.
I am extremely happy and would highly recommend Mike and Firenza Stone to anybody that wants their kitchen done the right way and also in a timely matter (with non-chinese products/materials). I look forward to using them again for future projects around my condo.
Thanks to you...
Read moreThis was my first remodel project and a somewhat complex one. Having been a Quality Manager, my expectations were very high. I couldn't have been in better hands than with Firenza Stone's Team! I wanted to enjoy the process of redesigning our Fireplace, Kitchen, Laundry room, Master and Spare Baths as much as living with the results. I can say without a doubt that the stonework done by the Firenza team was one of the most efficient processes in our complex remodel to complete! I wanted to break the traditional straight cabinet lines, jutting cabinets, dropping corners, while taking advantage of beautiful rust colored stranding in two completely different stones. Their professional team was VERY patient, listened to my wishes, enhanced our project via suggestions and solid recommendations, came up with designs that met our budget, hit EVERY promise date given and completely cleaned up before leaving! They carefully handled our petrified wood stone, laid out our bookend matched bathroom stones and surrounding stone for maximum effect in each and every room! I asked for help with a sunken, yet drained trough in front of our waterfall window, for my orchids so that the pots could not be seen... only the leaves, stems and flowers. They made that happen! They did everything they could to improve contractor delayed dates and actually salvaged a design error (unrelated to Firenza) within hours that could have been a very costly disaster. They walked us through every step of the process, communicated clearly and met EVERY expectation and then some. They really care and took pride in the results! I did NOT feel like "just another customer!"
I would rate the ease and efficiency of working with their team, a TEN on a scale of 1 to 5! Perfectionists would be the best way to describe them! THANK YOU for a...
