While most of these reviews are in regard to small animals mine was a horse. I watched while my horse was loaded on the trailer to take him to the crematory and his remains were treated with respect. (Comical story but not enough space here, but it would convey the respect, concern and good humor of those who work here. Let's just say my Halifax had the last word just as he would want it.) Seeing that the barn where he was boarded was only a few miles away and on the same road I was able and welcome there not only upon his arrival but for his cremation if I so desired. I would say to those who are concerned who wrote about the cremains that were returned, no matter where you go ask if you can stay. It is the only way you will ever know and the only way some people will ever be able to feel comfortable.

If a mistake was made I can only imagine how awful it must feel barring any monetary outlay. But, the spirit and having my companion close is comforting especially given that horses are taken to dumps and put in a trough and covered with lime in common burial pits. So if there is a little someone else in there with him so be it. I would find solice in knowing someone else who loved their pet as much as I loved mine is keeping him company. But, I know it is only him in there and his soul and spirit live in my heart not in the box. I hope this helps if there was a mistake made.

I also had one if my cats cremated and I think it is him. My box was not sealed either but I never thought about it. I prefer it not being sealed. The horse, Halifax, he is sealed and very heavy!!!!!!!! His box is so big sometimes I sit on it like I am still able to sit on his back.

I hope no one who reads this finds this morose, but I am 62 and have lived through a lot of death in my life and after the grief have found the joy, peace, memories and humor not only in life but in death as well.

Thank you Western Farms for being in this business.

God Bless and blessings for anyone reading this review because I've been where you are. Just ask I am sure your wishes will be fulfilled by Western.

We will be back. I just hope not...

This place preys on people who are grieving. It was not my choice to go with Trusted Journey, this is the company that West Park Animal Hospital uses. I had to put my cat to sleep on Saturday night. When i did, i let them know i didn't want ashes back, that's no longer her and i don't want to think of her that way. I don't need a paw print or a clip of her fur...i have fur, and i have dozens of photos of her perfect little black toe beans. I said this before i left the vet. I began receiving emails from Trusted Journey before i even made it home. Her poor little body was barely cold and they were trying to upsell me. The emails also made it seem as though i still owed money, even if i wasn't going to purchase "souvenirs"... even the vet was confused by this when i called to double check, as i had to pay before any services were provided. I received six emails and several phone calls over the next few days, even extending the time that i had to change my mind about buying more. The phone calls finally stopped only after i called back, sobbing and begging them to allow me to grieve without trying to get more money from me. Their practices are predatory and cruel. I'm sure they're great if you're spending the extra money, but if you don't, they'll sure do their best to make you feel guilty about it. This was never about money, it's about what's best for me and...

We received a pop-up during checkout for our family's cat that said the services offered had changed and to please restart; private cremation had gone up in those few minutes from $189 to $209 with no explanation. Everything is a la carte so it is easy to rack up quite the bill with only a few basic items, such as fur clippings or a clay paw print. Picking up your pet's keepsakes at the clinic where they were treated is not an option; there is only a shipping fee to your home (in our case $30). Our cat's urn and keepsakes arrived intact, but for hundreds of dollars overall spent, the nameplate wasn't even attached to the urn.

Important to note: Trusted Journey's client portal warned that if we had not made a decision with payment going through online in 72 hours, our cat would have been shipped off for communal cremation with nothing back.

We left our cat at MedVet Cleveland West feeling at peace with how well she passed, yet I am dismayed they have chosen Trusted Journey. This will be a time-sensitive financial surprise for families, who are likely already stressed by their pets needing emergency care prior to their passing. Though our cat's keepsakes are otherwise dignified, I do not find Trusted Journey's policies and practices worth using their...

I HIGHLY recommend this place for anyones deceased pet......The attention to detail & thought put into this are wonderful. I have used this company a few times & again this past week. The urn is beautiful, well made & with my pets LONG full name on it, a certificate, a card, seeds to plant in rembrance of my pet... flowers for my garden to grow- how lovely- & most precious the paw print in clay. Thank u Western for respecting my pet this way & giving her such dignity at the end, for your special touch & the gifts....the paw print & the seeds are everything. Our 12 year old cat died at home during the pandemic & this was taken care of with zero problem at such a difficult time for us personally & also all businesses including you I am sure, but it dint show or reflect that way .....thank u for being there for us & Smokey & doing such a lovely job , going above & beyond..... We have all elderly, special needs rescue pets ; all over 13 years of age... so, we'll see u again soon. Thank u again for such beautiful professionalism .

My BooBoo died at home at the age of 14.5. He was diagnosed with heart failure and I was told it was highly unlikely he would make it 6 months even on medication. I drove over two hours to get him to his cardiologist and gave him medications knowing it was just giving me a little more time. He was the first cat that I ever had so losing him has been painfully hard. I really wanted to bury him but his sudden death didn’t give me time to get it all in place and think clearly so I received his ashes in a beautiful box with his name etched in it and I placed his picture in it. I also received the paw necklace with his ashes in it then I have been wearing daily. I also received fur clippings and a card and a name plaque with the words I chose on it to display near his picture. I received everything within a week I think. It is expensive but it gave me memories. I miss him so much but I thank Trusted Journey in taking care of him after he received his Angel wings

My chinchilla, Munchie, passed away on her sixteenth Gotcha Day at home. I took her remains to the vet clinic and they sent her here. I got her back exactly a week later in a beautiful little wooden box decorated with carved trees and a very nice engraved nameplate. They also sent a Certificate of Cremation and got a paw print in clay. I wasn't given the option for ashes in a necklace, a fur clipping, etc. probably because she was so small and I sent her through the vet office but I had the foresight to collect some of her fuzzy "tumbleweeds" (if you have a chinchilla, you know!) to save in a locket or resin. Overall they did a lovely job. This same facility cremated my sister's rabbit a few years ago and did the same package. Chinchillas love climbing and I'm glad my Munchie now gets to sit on the highest shelf in her old room.
